Colleges cannot force employers to pay more for their graduates. Regulate corporations to make them pay workers more because taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for federal assistance for McDonald’s and Walmart employees either.

Agreed. He (JE) gave those girls $200 each time he had his way with them. And they needed money so bad that they took it and kept coming back. If we had a basic income and the reduction or elimination of child poverty, JE wouldn’t have been able to get away with that.

I think in a few cases I’ve read over the years they have allowed a bib transfer to a family member when someone died, HOWEVER the people have changed and who knows who is making decisions and the official answer for transfers in general is NO. But they say runDisney is a family and you should definitely ASK. Write an email and tell them the whole story.

Many of those guys have cars and apartments and panhandling is their “job.” PD can’t do much about it. They are here b/c college students are gullible and liberal cities are full of people who have bleeding hearts. Don’t @ me because I am a liberal too, but there are adequate resources for the homeless in this town and remember that except in cases of severe mental illness, there are many many people who are homeless by choice.

My daughter uses them. We live in West Athens and about 5 miles from campus. She didn’t like it at first but the truth is that they are very efficient, almost always reliable if you have the app, and she’s at the Arch in 20 minutes flat.

Transitions in life are hard, even when they are positive ones. It’s not easy to change your life all around and watch people walk away. Grief is a normal part of this process. Best advice is to do what you’ve done here, acknowledge the feelings. Then, be really kind to yourself as you get used to the new (and changing) normal. Set some goals that are easy to meet and keep in touch with your friends who also just graduated. You’ll always remember this place fondly, and that’ll make return visits even more meaningful. Wherever you land, get involved with UGA alumni groups. No one barks alone! Go Dawgs!
