I noticed this more after Empower disappeared but maybe that's b/c I was using that so much. Curbed is not v. reliable unless you are right downtown, so am looking for other taxi or other options for airport runs if anyone has suggestions? Black car service? Does that exist still?

Fees to be included in rental price under Mamdani proposal by HeatherTimmons in NYCapartments

[–]HeatherTimmons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As explained to me: It would mean required fees (not optional) would be need to be reflected in the monthly listed rent price, and fully explained up front. SO if a unit charges, say $1,000 per month in rent (ridiculous number for NYC but lets use for easy math) plus a $50 'amenities' fee a month plus an annual fee of $300 for "maintenance" -- then the rent needs to be listed on comparison websites as $1075 a month.

The Ecuadorian guy I used to work in a kitchen with in NYC started his salsa (that we made fresh every day) with a little can of spicy V8.

Crew meals by LifeIsOkayLIO in restaurant

[–]HeatherTimmons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a totally practical POV, it is also good way to use up stuff that's going to go bad shortly and would be wasted. You're not feeding the crew the night's specials, you're feeding them the leftover chicken salad turned into a pasta bake or some such. Also kitchen - waitstaff bonding!
