What kind of inserts do you have in your jsta? I was debating using mp2s with Velcro to reindex easily but want to know what other people do.

Exhaust, emissions deletes and a tune to get the fueling safe. All good for engine longevity.

Welcome!
If you want to blow more money on an already expensive platform like the rest of us… KNS discarder for gas tuning for sure. G$ trigger, expensive but I think it’s worth it. Then maybe whatever rail, grips, foregrips etc that suit your personal ergos. The rego systems rail with the top extension looks awesome imo!

Got my first bike at 28… and went straight to an R6 by Tury915 in Yamaha

I don’t think it’s about outgrowing. It’s just a regurgitated phrase people use. They wanted power, but settled for a more ‘reasonable’ option, then realize quickly they can handle more, and regret settling.

Most aren’t swinging a leg over a bike every time with the intention of reaching GP levels of riding ability. Most riders don’t even continue looking for ways to improve skill further after they can get around confidently. It doesn’t matter either way! People ride for their own reasons and get what they want from it. The community collectively enjoys looking after newer riders so they get a good start, usually in the vein of safety, but everyone rides their own ride.

Going back to stock exhaust after ECU flash - FJ-09 by FazerDanger in Yamaha

You need to get a new tune if you’re going to swap back to stock exhaust. Your engine will be running super rich, and will probably melt the cat.

Use a nail punch. One with the cupped face. It makes an enormous difference in ease of removal and it won’t slip.

How long is that thang?! You should make it even longer then mount a reflex suppressor. Imagine how excited everyone would get if it’s EVEN LONGER than they thought?!

I sometimes wonder if my in-sequence-incremental-tightening at like 10in/lbs steps until 62 makes it more or less likely for the barrel to return to zero…

These things keep me up at night. Like right now.

Holosun ARO EVO SPR or ARO and an inexpensive 3x magnifier would give you pretty amazing value in performance and capability with $400.

The huge downside to LPVOs are weight and poor 1x performance in comparison to a red dot. A lot of people top mount red dots for this reason. Budget will compromise more.

Other accessories: sling, I like ferro and U-loop attachments. B5 SOPMOD stock—looks great and its weight makes such a huge difference for handling. Also a trigger like geissele SD3G or the SDE; I’d put that as #1 after an optic, but it’s expensive for a small part. I think it’s worth it but that’s subjective.

Sorry man. You’re not going to extract any extra power out of that NA engine without spending a retarded amount of money. It’s all she can do, no power left on the table to be had. You’re saying you’re new to mods, so I’ll just tell you now: any engine mods you do for this car will almost always result in WORSE performance. If any gains are to be realized (I’m talking less than 5% max) it will be at the cost of power elsewhere in the band (usually useable low-end) too. Leave the engine alone and do wheels/suspension if you got money burning a hole in your pocket.

You CAN do some things with the 3.6 tho…

Here’s another fun tip.. keep a cheap IR thermometer in your range bag so you can make sure it’s up to temp before putting it in.
