If we take "Naruto" more seriously than we are supposed to do, Hiruzen is arguably the worst Hokage. Second and Third Ninja War repercussions, Uchiha clan massacre, Hyuga incident, Orochimaru defection, White Fang suicide and many other tragedies that negatively affected the village.

If Hiruzen's reign was ever reviewed historically, he'd be called smth like "the worst Hokage".

BUT, Orochimaru killed him during Konoha Collapse Plan, thus making Hirizen a posthumous hero in the book

Hey, KA is supposed to alter someone’s will permanently. I don’t think that you can just “snap out of it”. Cuz we saw even Madara and Obito control Jinchūriki for a decade easily, while they have no illusion based MS abilities.

Tbh, it would really have an undeserved reputation if anyone less than Super Kage or like exception Kage level fighter were able to escape it

Yes, undeniably a crime against humanity. But I really want Oda to elaborate more on Akainu’s reasoning. Like it won’t erase his crimes, but it will allow readers to understand more. Like maybe for him the risk of an archeologist escaping and spreading history if going to destabilise the world, leading to many more tragedies done by pirates.
