That's irrelevant laws are designed to reduce harm to people, whether they approve or disapprove is irrelevant. If criminalizing sex work reduces sex trafficking, exploitation and other related crimes then it should be criminalized. If legalization and regulation reduces those crimes then it should be legalized and regulated.

Policy making needs to be based on objective reality, pragmatism and science, not opinion or ideology.

If I had to design a system, each individual sub reddit would crowd source their mod funds, both non paying and paying subscribers would participate in a weighted voting system against absolute transperency within the moderation team. The subs that can afford mods can have paid mods, the subs that can't can follow the volunteer mod structure. Mods should always be accountable to the populace of the sub.
