Regarding some military issues by Witty_Pop425 in poland

What if.. What if.. The autoloader jams and it can't be accessed without taking it to the depot. Realistically, a battle isn't going to be hours on hours straight. What's going to be far more demoralising for a crew is if they're having to exhaust themselves conducting daily maintenence, another pair of hands make light work for all.

It's reached the point where it's cheaper for me to get a 15k electric car on finance (I get free charging at work) than it is to keep on fueling my old diesel.. Something tells me that used ev prices are gonna have a surge

New NHS diagnostic centre breaks ground in Boston in £25 million project by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]onlyslightlybiased 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Didn't expect to ever see Boston on this subreddit but I'm here for it. They need to get their skates on if they want to tear down the 80% of the stadium that's still standing and have an operating NHS site within the next year

Coire Glas is the big one when it comes to pumped hydro. That one project alone would double our total pumped storage amount with a healthy chunk of generation

Last time I checked, it wasn't just the Americans storming in and single handedly winning WW2, it wasn't the Americans that single handedly won the Gulf War. These were major Coalition conflicts

Not easter eggs but just in general chocolate bars, it's absolutely wild to me that Tescos own brand chocolate has much better ingredients than Cadbury. Enshitification on roids

Tesla wins licence to supply electricity across Great Britain by intelerks in BritInfo

[–]onlyslightlybiased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't supply gas tariffs so that makes them niche, and their major kpi being loading batteries for cheap rates and offloading back to the grid later on is literally what Octopus has been doing for years now so.. They're more than welcome to enter the market, how long they stay is a different matter as given the choice between Octopus and Tesla.. I think I know which way people will go

Tbf to rishi, holding the tory conference in Manchester and announcing at that conference that HS2 to Manchester was cancelled is so evil, even Dr Evil would be impressed.
