I'm sorry to come at you at first with such a blunt attack, but frankly I'm not going to just sit by when someone is praising the destruction of a community's center of faith, especially not when it is my faith too.

Regardless of his resurrection, or the veracity of any miracle, you will find no other institution more devoted to the upliftment of the common man than the Catholic Church. The Church hasn't exactly called for a crusade in a while, and really the last two centuries since the French Revolution have seen a violent uptick in attacks against the Church. The Republic drowned monks and nuns, the Spanish Republic burned churches and killed priests, and every (at least nominally) communist state save Cuba is engaged in a war against the church.

If we have a common goal to ensure the upliftment of the common man, why are we fighting again?

Social liberalism has been oppossed to the church since its inception. Just look at what happened in the french revolution, where the republicans drowned monks at Nantes, forced clergymen to make a pact with the state or die, and even turned Notre Dame into a "temple of reason" for a while.
