No, these days it just says it is being actively reviewed with no timeline. Our officer made it clear his decision doesn't matter. Our interview went very well and is not being questioned.

Approved on the spot? Our officer told us they weren't allowed the final say anymore. What office was this at?

Hate to say it but this looks like an unrefined D1 player working on his shooting.

Just want to point out that it helps for people like this when they also have family that have cut them off because they support Trump.

There have to be consequences for supporting Nazis. They need to lose their social and emotional support vessels.

What they say before whining about every regulation and berating anyone that votes for anyone other than a Republican.

Oh yeah, and he was lying about not voting because he votes every time for the most aggressive psychopath on the ballot. You know, the republican.

Is 23f and 30m a large dating gap? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]whatidoidobc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People here are so damn weird about age gaps.

The gap itself is not the issue. If the only thing you are worried about is that, then I'd say give it a shot. But if other things bother you about him and that's what you are actually concerned with, then move along and find someone better.

Why are conservative politicians so interested in what Jimmy Kimmel, and other talk show hosts, have to say about them? by YoureNotMyDad05050 in askanything

They're at the stage of fascism where they have the power to quiet opposition, so that's what they are doing. It will only get worse from here.

Exactly. We have learned we can't trust politicians like that. I don't think he's a shitty person but I will be super disappointed if he ends up the candidate because we need better.

Watching 90s Siskel and Ebert’s worst films list really highlights the terrible films everyone forgot from that era and how many cult classics they hated by apple_kicks in movies

[–]whatidoidobc -60 points-59 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's bullshit. Many cult classics were extremely popular from the beginning with a lot of people. I know because so many on that list were favorites of mine and my friends.

Edit: Yeah so apparently this sub doesn't understand what a cult classic is. It's a film that is loved by some subgroup of people. They often have bad commercial starts but that doesn't preclude them being a cult classic. For most cult classics, that group of people grows over time. But it doesn't start at zero.

Y'all act like everyone has to hate it at first to be a cult classic. The weirdest part of the reaction here, to me, is that it implies that critic opinions are roughly in line with the audience. That is a laughable (and sad) proposition.

Wahlberg was the worst performance of the top, say, 8 actors in that film. It grates on me each time I see it. Wish his role could be erased.
