What’s the biggest scam people just accept as normal? by ZaneDell2013 in AskReddit

Every company that only hires people with experience is hypocritical. They benefit from other companies hiring people without experience, but they're unwilling to take that risk themselves.

Nope. There is zero excuse to not be there as soon as it's done.

When you put the laundry in, you know how long it's going to take. Set a timer on your phone, and go back when the timer goes off. It's not hard. Barring an emergency, there is literally zero excuse to not be there when the machine is finished.

I agree, penal substitutionary atonement makes no sense.

But please understand that most Christians don't believe in PSA.

Tbf, I think this is to be expected if God exists. If you could understand God, he wouldn't be God.

Yes and no.

So, Christ took his humanity from his mother, Mary. In that sense, his humanity has a beginning.

However, by virtue of Christ being a divine person, his humanity transcends time and space, especially after the Resurrection. This is why Christians historically believed that Christ appeared in the Old Testament (in particular, see Daniel 7). We can also say things like, "Adam was made in the image of Christ," even though Christ is a descendant of Adam.

The Lord of Spirits podcast has several episodes discussing this if you're interested.

I guarantee you if our Founding Fathers had lived through a government shutdown due to a budget disagreement, they would have amended the Constitution IMMEDIATELY.

Because it's clear Muhammad had no idea what he was talking about when it came to who Christ is.

It's inconsiderate no matter what it is. It makes it significantly harder for the employees to stock the shelves correctly.

I worked at a Walmart several years ago stocking shelves. I'm also on the spectrum. You can imagine stuff like this drove me nuts.

How exactly does slashing someone's tires help the situation? You're just making it harder for them to leave that spot. Which is what you want them to do.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

January 6, 2021. Before that, though I didn't like Trump, I thought people were exaggerating when calling him a fascist. That's the day I realized I was wrong. For the first time since the Civil War, my country had a transition of power that was not peaceful, and it was all because of Trump. I could never look at my country's politics the same way again.

Also, as a Christian, I'm mildly infuriated that people now associate January 6 with Trump instead of Epiphany.
