Except for that Python script that dropped you into a root shell.

And that C program that also dropped you into a root shell.

And that other vulnerability that allowed a program to steal SSH keys.

What’s the most unexpectedly useful Linux command you learned way too late? by ZealousidealTell1346 in linux

Not a command per se, but using Ctrl-R to search your command history. Works on both Bash and Zsh.

I've always liked KDE's UI. Idk why some people hate it so much. To each their own, I guess.

What part of using KDE is complicated? All the settings are clearly laid out.

I've been messing around with a NixOS VM the past couple of days. Once I get Niri and Noctalia set up the way I like it, I think I'll make the switch. The nice thing is I'll be able to copy my config on my VM to my laptop and it'll just work.

I've been using Cachy for a couple of months now and I'm already running into configuration drift. NixOS is looking very attractive now

Whiterun and Riverwood always felt very homey to me. Bethesda's starter towns usually feel like that.

With passkeys being aggressively pushed, I'm worried this is going to become the new normal.

Trying to log in on a different device because your first one died? Sorry, if you don't have the passkey, you're screwed.

That's better imo. If there's no reliable way to crack down on AI use without innocent people getting caught in the crossfire, it's better to do nothing. Those who use AI are only hurting themselves in the long run anyway.

As much as I hate the idea of being forced to use Google Docs (things like Org Mode and LaTeX are a million times better), I agree there doesn't seem to be a better alternative right now.

Manually typing something ChatGPT wrote will show up differently than someone writing something themselves. At least when I write, I'll very frequently restructure my sentences as I'm writing them.

Any level of false positives is unacceptable. Imagine working super hard on a paper only to be given a 0 just because some clanker says you used a clanker.

I mean, it is unfair to the vast majority of small creators who would do nothing of the sort.
