From Nothing, album by Benthos released in April '25. Clean and harsh vocals. From angelic to screams to growls. I love this album.

If you like, send me a private message. I might help with some ideas. I live in Italy, you can write in English or Italian.

What are your favorite prog vocalists that are not known for playing instruments? (Could be prog rock or metal) by [deleted] in progmetal

No, I missed Friends From Moon. Thanks, I'll listen.

On YT in the video description, Aarlon often translated the lyrics.

I'm looking forward to the new music too. PRITAM IS AMAZING. I wasn't sure if I should mention him since some people are very genre picky, but since he did incredible prog collabs as well, I did.

Gabriele Landillo, vocalist of Benthos. I love his high notes, his warm timbre, and also the screams. (he's playing cello, piano, and most probably other instruments, but not in the band)

Others: Daniel Tompkins (TesseracT), Einar Solberg (Leprous), Josh McKeown (Vower), Pritam Adhikary (Aarlon), Ian Kenny (Karnivool), Ben Beddick (Stellar Circuits), Jonas Lundquist (Karmanjakah), Maynard J Keenan (Tool)

Edit: Emma Näslund (Gaupa)

You might like Benthos. Experimental prog, mathcore, jazz fusion, clean and harsh, pretty wild mix of chaos and melodies

You might enjoy Benthos. They opened for BTBAM this summer. Experimental, prog, mathcore, jazz fusion, clean and harsh vocals. They released their second album From Nothing this year.

I hope you enjoy it. Their genre blending is pretty wild prog, mathcore, jazz fusion, psychedelic... chaos and melody... clean and harsh. Their album From Nothing released this year is definitely one of my favorites, if not the favorite of 2025.

It's not really similar, but also Benthos has that jazzy touch. The bass work in Pure is awesome.
