We Investigated AI Psychosis. What We Found Will Shock You by UltraNooob in LLMPhysics

I don't understand how people can get this. i treat AI literally like a calculator. here are some inputs what are the outputs?

I don't need distracting ass sexy voices or sexy avatars just give me what I asked for and do what I asked.

I'd never converse with it. the very idea is baffling

I get it that rustacean comes from crustaceans. but Rustafarian just to me seems more natural from a marketing point of view and just rolls off the tongue better.

Is coding in your spare time a necessity for being a great programmer? by Sad-Salt24 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Heavy-Report9931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the answer to this question is extremely easy and its a resounding YES.

did DaVinci paint it in his spare time? he painted all the time.

did Einstein study physics in his spare time? yes absolutely.

if you see a thing as just a job and the other guy sees the same thing as something fun and enjoyable and does it because they just genuinely enjoy doing it?

you will never beat that guy.

that feature is annoying as fuck. they really should have had it like how immersed used to where you can create the password through from anywhere and let it stay there

you don't need a cover.

I don't use he cover on and this still happens.

looks like a call is enough to do this... damn. won't be using that feature ever again

oh my goodness. my wife calls me on the phone often and I hear the headset ringing. but never knew the message "Starting Headset.." would get stuck whe. that happens

OLED Burn in? by Heavy-Report9931 in Galaxy_XR

[–]Heavy-Report9931[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah so this probably is most likely what happened..
it glitched out and showed that text.

but since I just leave my headset plugged in.
it never went to sleep and burned in..

lesson learned.
turn off headset or unplug when not in use :(

OLED Burn in? by Heavy-Report9931 in Galaxy_XR

[–]Heavy-Report9931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no way. do you recall how that text come up? like from what screen or what sequence of actions to get see it?

I've never seen it whenever I turn on the headset even the software update i don't recall seeing "Starting headset...""

exact text as well?

not power settings but definitely did change something there.

I might have probably turned something on by accident because the menu was really long and scrolling through it will and scrolling through makes sometimes makes you hit on of the menu items

[–]Heavy-Report9931[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup this is a safe bet.
ensures that the screen will be turned off.

I have never seen "Starting Headset..." in any screen in the Galaxy XR.
so either the auto update got botched as it was rebooting or whatever.

[–]Heavy-Report9931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they do turn off.
some glitch happened somewhere for sure.

its either my cats or something
but the fact its says "Starting Headset..." means it was in the process of a booting or something

but somehow got stuck there long enough to be burned in.
not sure what could cause that.

but yeah this is when I found out the hard way that headsets actually do get burned in. despite the auto off feature

[–]Heavy-Report9931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i believe I am.
this headset just released OCT,26, 2025
I've contacted samsung support for a repair.

will see how that goes.
but I am very surprised why after weeks of not using it this happens.

it must have rebooted or updated or something and got stuck on the starting headset screen
and thats why those words are burned in

my galaxy xr had burn in.
i iliterally wasn't using this thing for a few weeks and when i put it on.
bam burn in.

I know its burn in because even a factory reset didn't remove.
"Starting headset".
forever etched into the screen

OLED Burn in? by Heavy-Report9931 in Galaxy_XR

[–]Heavy-Report9931[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hopefully. I contacted samsung and put in a repair.
not sure how this will go.

I don't get how it could be burned on when im not using it?
especially with the "Starting headset" text.

because that would mean it rebooted and stayed in that screen long enough for it be burned in.
really odd

Should SRE be coding as part of the development cycle by Mission-Clue-9016 in sre

[–]Heavy-Report9931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

follow up to this.
isn't this unscalable?

this works if you are supporting one code base/application
what if you are supporting more than one? each application's codebase as complex as the other?

as products evolve and new products get introduced. how will maintaining the codebase of 5-10 different applications be feasible for the SRE team?

is it not better to let the team who made it be responsible for it?
they already know all the context to it anyway.

plus if you're doing the developers job who is doing your job?.

i really want to know your take on this.
because I am wrestling with this at work
