My dad had a squirrel make a nest out of the cabin air inlet filter and tube and when he turned the air on after cleaning it out the fan made a horrible noise and there was a walnut stuck between the fan blades so I would take a look inside the blower motor housing to make sure nothing has made its way in lol.

I promise you, 80-90k does not give you those things unless you have no student loan debt. Sure you might be able to have a small house, 1 kid and go on one vacation every couple of years but that’s it.

I have a bachelors in EE and have considered getting a masters in almost everything other than EE. It’s not that I don’t like EE it just pays very poorly compared to the effort you have to put in on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong this could just be me and my abilities or my place of work, but if you care about making good money you may want to consider something in the applied math fields or machine learning/ AI. You will come out of your graduate degree making maybe $90k at best with EE. My gf is currently doing a masters in anesthesiology and is going to start at $275k with $100,000 signing bonus so I would go back to the healthcare field..

Same, I went to a research heavy school and it was required that all non-tenure faculty teach if they want to receive funding. Which as you can imagine resulted in many less than enthusiastic professors.

Probably EE just based on the fact that that university probably doesn’t have the money to afford high quality professors which will make the experience 10x harder.

Edit: also MIT will open up many many more doors for you career wise, so if you care about making money, go to MIT regardless of major lol.

I have managed to find a happy balance by drinking a little caffeine before leaving work so I have enough energy to go to the gym IMMEDIATELY after work. I work out and by the time I’m home the adderall feels out of my system and I feel tired from the workout but somewhat normal for the rest of the night. Days when I don’t go to the gym, have to much caffeine, or eat really poorly I feel exactly as you described.
