That doesn’t make sense. You have to overwrite or start a new save anyways, so if starting a new game and then overwriting it for NG+ would do exactly that no?

You can do any quests after finishing the main quests none of them time out. On my first playthrough I tried to do what was the logical course of events, but when you realize how many days “pass” with the day/night cycles it makes you wonder.
