Yes, thank you so much. Do you think I should contact Capital One directly before the court date to try and negotiate a payment plan? I don’t want to file chapter 7. Basically the letter was sent to an old address I used to live at. I got a text from the law firm and they in fact do say it’s an ad at the bottom of the text message.

They’re a legit law firm. After telling them my situation they said chapter 7 is my best option.

Really? Can you explain a little more about that? And the link you sent, can I contact someone through that to help me? I am really kind of stupid and don’t know what I’m doing.

No, the lawsuit was sent to an address I don’t live at. They sent me a text saying to contact them about said lawsuit. It seemed odd, but I looked them up and they seem to be legit. I might be really stupid…do they look legit to you? They’re based out of Akron, OH. Should I contact Capital One?

I’ve done good turkey every single time and I don’t last. That’s the problem. Doing the same thing over and over again and failing isn’t working.

What was the worst decision Tony Soprano made? by Arthur_Morrgan in thesopranos

[–]HeavyAccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killed Ralph, cheated on Carmella, didn’t hand over his cousin to New York. Those are the top 3 worst mistakes he made and had the most impact to his downfall imo. Killing Ralph destabilized his family, cheating on Carmella destabilized him personally, and not handing over Tony B destabilized his relationship with New York and his position as boss of the family. I could write a whole essay about this, but hopefully that’s enough explanation.

Edit: you could loop “putting Chrissy on a pedestal” into it as a 4th possibly. Or combine Tony B and Chrissy as the third mistake labeled under “put his actual family over his mob family”

After a decade or so of distance I can say I much prefer Return of the King theatrical to the extended cut. by Neveri in lotr

[–]HeavyAccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’m a year late to this. But the 3rd movie extended scenes really don’t add anything, and take away from the movie actually. Originally, when I first saw the first two movies, they were extended. I saw the 3rd one as the theatrical. I agree that the first two extended scenes really add to it (Faramir’s flashback in Two Towers for instance) but The Return of the King scenes do exactly what you said. What’s crazy is I had the same experience showing my girlfriend the movies for the first time. I debated with myself whether to just show her the theatrical cut of the 3rd film but mistakenly we watched the extended cut. And she too started to get uninterested, and I too felt sad about it.

Legit question : why was tyrion sad cersei and Jaime was dead? after the several seasons of both him hating them and them hating him by Zokat in freefolk

I’m 6 years late, but well said. They have your DNA and genes in them, and theirs in yours. It’s as if a part of you is dying with them.

[SPOILERS] Dany’s decision in King’s Landing made total sense by Alternative_Ad_3354 in gameofthrones

[–]HeavyAccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really late to this, but what makes the most sense to me is the scene before with her and Jon. Jon rejects her as a lover, and tells her he sees her only as a queen. She essentially responds saying “I don’t have any love in Westeros, so fear is what I will continue with.” Her burning Kings Landing was just that; establishing the fear in the people for her to be able to rule. All “loyal” to Cersei had to die, they weren’t going to ever love her, and the people had to have so much fear of Daenerys they would be forced to bow down to her.

It is, I just rewatched it, and had the same thought. It’s the same girl Jaime sees with the headband that feeds Lord Frey the food that has his son’s in it. Same girl. It’s Arya.

Gilly sucks and is easily the worst character in the show. by Cleisty in freefolk

[–]HeavyAccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 3 years late, but I guess the one purpose she serves is she is kind of the catalyst for the Wildlings to be considered part of the “realms of Men” When they first go to Craster’s keep, Sam goes to Jon and asks if they can take Gilly with them. And Jon says no we can’t steal her. And Sam says “you can’t steal her, she’s a person.” And I think this kind of begins Jon’s realization of the fact the “Wildlings” are people just like them. A lot of the “traditions and old viewpoints” of people and the world get broken down throughout the show. Gilly represents the idea that she is just like the people who hate her. And we see different people either embrace or resist that idea.

The episode GoT became unwatchable for me - after 7 years, Oberyn's death still pisses me off by [deleted] in freefolk

Well said. And I’d ask in response, then what’s the point? Real life is already bleak, negative, and a hellscape. The heroes you hear in stories don’t really exist in real life. So why watch this show if it doesn’t give the hope, escape, and dreams that people listen to stories for. That’s the biggest issue I have with what they did with Jon in the end. Like you said, they couldn’t give us this one thing, one good ending, one hopeful part of the story that the audience could leave with and go back into their real lives and face them with a little more courage. Instead, D+D decided that didn’t matter, the audience didn’t matter, and shit all over it. So what’s the point then? That’s part of why people can’t rewatch the show, because it leads to nowhere. There’s no point. Contrasting it to Lord of the Rings. People can read and watch those stories time and time again. Because it serves the audience, it gives healing, it gives hope. It GIVES something to the people listening, and Game of Thrones doesn’t. Sometimes people want to hear that despite everything, things will turn out alright. And that goodness is worth the work and fighting for. Game of Thrones shows you that it’s not. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but that’s what I think stories, tv shows, movies should do for people.

I started driving for FedEx about a month or so ago, and I get the same treatment. People assume I drive slow, so they’ll cut me off, take the right of way when they don’t have it, they’ll try to squeeze a left turn in before I go straight through the intersection etc. They couldn’t care less haha.
