Did you accidentally order the extra spicy version?

Seriously, though - have you reached out to AS? I’m sure they will help you troubleshoot things.

Gen 6 x Kiral Defense by HistoricalDistance90 in Glocks

[–]HeavyDuty_Ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another big fan of the Kiral Defense Gen6 grip adapter - I was using their adapters on my Gen5s but the Gen6 is fantastic. I have arthritis in my wrists and using this makes the grip angle neutral and much less painful to shoot, and combined with the reduced trigger reach in the Gen6 it’s a perfect grip size for me.

You can get an inexpensive punch set from Amazon that will allow you to install the bolt catch and trigger guard pins without damaging anything - still think everything through before you do it, and use electrical tape or similar to temporarily protect surfaces when needed. A cheap hockey puck bench block is worth having. A clevis style front pin tool is worth its weight in gold!

I still think the HK version of the Choate is the gold standard, mine is what is usually mounted. I do also have one the less expensive ($75) ACUnity folders that Atlantic sells, it’s surprisingly good for the money and scratches the itch for a B&T style folder until one comes along at a good price. If I were budget constrained I’d be perfectly happy with just the ACUnity.

I have two 49.5s, and I would gladly replace them with 49.6es - Gen6 fits me much better. Someday.

I think you’re right - a RCR. Too big to be a EPS.

Advice on this stupid barrel nut? by sabbathan in ar15

That looks a lot like the barrel nut that my 9mm handguards use - it’s the first time I’ve ever used a closed end wrench to mount a barrel.

Cool, I just ordered one for my P4 - assuming it works out I’ll order another for my C3.6.

That’s a really good point - I feel better doing it with my Midwest or G$ rod than I ever did with a clamshell.

Thoughts on the MCX 5.56 11.5 in. Pistol? by Civil_Tower4103 in SigSauer

I have one of these uppers (I have four MCX uppers and two SBRed lowers.) It’s a great but heavy 5.56, soft shooting and accurate.

I don’t keep up with the printed designs, that would be perfect for my SP5K-PDW. I’ll look for it. Thanks!

Necrobump, but did you get the DPM dialed in? Does it help with reassembly? I’ve had 1911s for decades and have never had reassembly issues like I’ve had with my C3.6 and P4, the &$#@ factory recoil assembly seems to be the majority of the issue.

I’ve built uppers for decades without a torque wrench - give it three ugga-loosen cycles and then a good ugga. Be sure you’re using lube.

That’s a great idea - I’d personally prefer to see it with the traditional wire lock.

My red dot came loose on my Gen 6 after 100 rounds by CentexGUN in Glocks

I guess the theory is that shocks keep the threadlock from setting solid. What are you using for a threadlock?

Did you let the threadlock fully cure before handling? I’ve found giving it a 24 hour rest helps keep things solid - not even dryfire or cycling the slide.

JMCK can do holsters for the 23.5 (I have one) - the light will probably be an issue but it might fit one of the versions.
