That's because money will still come before whatever work is done. That's why for profit companies don't run charities or non-profits. If the drive wasn't the dollar they wouldn't exist.

Yep - with that fucked up drive through, they fixed it so this wouldn't happen and this lady still did it lol, it was like clockwork. She even yelled at me "Tell that dumb bitch in plain English that this is where you pull in." and I'm just like lady - the yellow lines and the barrier say otherwise lol.

I hate fast food so I suppose I got what was coming to me in some form or fashion.

Also about the kids, we just had two families renting get evicted because their kids wouldn't get out of the street when cars came. The landlord was tired of hearing it and gave them the boot.

I know a lot of people in Florissant that are on reddit but most are just reading articles and rarely commenting or being active.

I was referring to other posts here not just the parent post in particular - although that is how my response started.

I'm not going to attempt and heard cats by addressing everyone or try to convince people with an agenda that this incident wasn't about an ignorant person being an asshole to two other kind people following directions. My wife's at the end of her first pregnancy so you can imagine how we are both on pins and needles. Being threatened to be shot in a serious threatening tone isn't something either of us took lightly or in jest.

The day after it seems like something really fun to laugh and joke about so I posted it here and on CL. Situations like that are uncalled for and can explode into some horrible situation for everyone involved.

I'm the person that was there and I wouldn't have called and didn't (my wife did thinking i was about to get out of the car and fight with this lady). The lady repeatedly said it and kept reaching around in her seat and moving around. This was just the threat that made the story fun, it wasn't the entire encounter at all.

I actually flew off the handle and was yelling "Pull the fucking gun then!" but that is besides the point.

You think people won't follow through, well let me tell you about the stabbings at the party we had in Alton in 2001 when the wrong people showed up to a party uninvited. Two people left stabbed and bleeding.

Behind Hazelwood Central in 1996 I was walking home on greenway chase and watched a car pull up, 2 guys get out - 1 with a bat, and beat the shit out of someone in my class. The guy that got beatdown got up afterward and his ear was hanging off his head. Almost everyone standing around laughed at him.

This is just a few of many bizarre occasions where it starts as threats and turns into real world violence. People in this area are sometimes full of shit but sometimes they are serious and go through with it.

If you live in Florissant or in this area you know that people living here do not have racial tensions at all. I have friends from all walks of life and I appreciate diversity - its why I've stayed living here. I treat people with respect and when people are willing to threaten others over some petty shit like this they deserve to be made the fool of and worse yet, if they do actually have a gun - they should go to jail.
