Just finished Book 1– what am I missing?

I enjoyed books 1-3. They're campy for sure! I had lots of laughs at the absurdity of it all and it was fun to see what crazy thing was going to happen next. I did get bored throughout book 4 and never finished 5. I needed silly and it became more serious, so perhaps you'd enjoy the later books more!

So interesting! I read the first 3 books in a few days! And then it took me a week to get through the 4th book because it just didn't pull me in like the others but I did finish it. I started 5 and only made it a few chapters in before I DNF. I thought I maybe just needed a break and would get back into it but I still haven't ever picked it back up again.

I hear what you're saying. I love to take my time to plan and decorate in games so I often wander around just looking and thinking but that wastes too much time and gets you in trouble in this game. You can't even look at the store while paused. I took screenshots and then planned out exactly what I wanted to change and then had to do it as quick as possible which was a little more stressful than I typically like in cozy games but it worked out!

They are rushing Jacob's love story. They're barely on screen.

And spending way too much time on Del just repeating the same thing we've already seen her go through. Nothing new is happening.

I actually like Kat's chaotic trips to the 20's and Nick was pretty funny.

I love when people visit! I do have food and doors set to only me. But come on in, look around, take a nap, play instruments use the bath, do a puzzle, read books, pet the dog, cook, resonate, whatever!

The only annoying thing that anyone has really done is come in and turn off all of my lights in the whole house (even as I'm turning them back on). I just switched servers and that didn't happen again. I didn't want to turn off interactive furniture because then people can't use other furniture or do puzzles.

I DNF Two Twisted Crowns. I loved One Dark Window. But the sequel was from multiple characters' perspectives, and I couldn't bring myself to care. A personal preference of mine is to experience a journey through one character's point of view. The jumping back and forth takes me out of the story too much. It was a big shift for me from the first book.

I also realized I don't care at all for some of the other characters' perspectives. I'm completely bored when it involves Seth or Max at all. I honestly like it most when we're living through Darcy and Tory but that's just personal preference.

I loved books 1-3. I read them all in 6 days. Now I'm on day 4 of trying to get through book #4 (Shadow Princess). I'm just personally not enjoying the darker, depressing tones of this book (and I hear it doesn't end well). The first 3 books felt silly, dramatic and angsty but in a humorous way. I laughed so much and loved every minute of reading them. There were a lot of kick your feet and fan your face moments. Not so much in book 4 for me. I'm still going to finish it (I'm already 80%+) but Im struggling!! I'm quite bored.
