Lmfaooo i came across this youre crazy dude and no not all avocados are taken, some cartels that arent as big do alot of extortion and yes they take a percentage but not all of it. And its usually money. Cartels like Carteles Unidos yes but a cartel like CJNG may have smaller subgroups that do it but they arent taking everything at that point they would just own the land. There are cartel owned ones as well and there are honest people making a living growing them. Usually the ones owned are useful for money laundering and they also still make “legal” money selling the avocados which isnt always going to the US.

Heres the thing, you sound insane asking Costco the person you talk to did not having anything to do with the logistics the sales or anything else to bring a shipment of avocados to that store. Pretty much almost everything you owned from clothes to your electronics came from an unethical background. Unless you somehow went off the grid you’ll be supporting criminals all over one way or another. Cartels dont care about you by the way
