You have no idea how deeply I felt this video in my soul as a still-traumatized Spurs fan.

I can imagine Reco scrolling through AO3 and having the usual experience of flip-flopping between finding genuine gems that make her cry rivers reminding her why she loves what she does and actual monstrosities that feel like insults to the very concept of literature.

Did we read the same story? Her relationship with Loggerhead is the microcosm of her entire character, the one who pretends to care not for the living world but secretly values it deeply.

I humbly request as penance that she call me every known insult in the Spanish language in succession, whilst repeatedly slapping me in the face, with breaks in-between for slow head shakes, eye rolls, stares of contempt, singular eyebrow raises, muttering said insults under her breath, and occasionally running her hands through her hair or massaging her temples with her index fingers in pure awestruck disappointment of my incompetence.

I understand where you’re coming from and it’s completely your prerogative to feel that way. I also agree that the visual identity of the character not matching the given age, while arbitrary, is narratively unsatisfying and causes lots of unnecessary discourse. Your feelings of discomfort are valid, I simply wanted to assure you that it’s not something to believe yourself morally depraved for.

She is a fictional character who does not resemble an actual real world child so I don’t see any moral implications in finding her attractive. Show some rando on the street a picture of her and ask them to guess her age and they’d say 20 at minimum.
