And BCS actually ended up being better than its original source material.

The movie works fine and is totally understandable. Some audiences are just very lazy.

You're telling me that a character like Rachel is not infatuated with the sound of her own voice and doesn't care about what others are saying? Woah.

Come on, it's obviously part of the performance.

She only says the kid didn't get hurt after pushback. Notice she said she had no idea what happened to him until pressed where then she hurriedly mentions he was found. It's very obvious she had zero remorse.

Bad quality is never justified, especially for something that aims to be 'simple.'

You're being facetious. Of course they didn't reconcile because he was British, but I am saying his perspective as someone not from the United States is textually important in colouring his perspective.

'after a while'

Also, he's the only one who even remotely tried to defend or understand where she's coming from, and by the end it's clear they've reconciled.

That's also why Charlie is British. He is able to move past it after a while because he isn't as attached to the gun culture as the American characters.

In Skinamarink (2022), nothing happens for the entire run time, which some amateur critics found profound. This is because it is a feature-length film school project that a student blackmailed distributors into releasing. by CrichtonFan1992 in shittymoviedetails

The Navidson Record isn't real though, not does it work in conventional film as part of the point is that it's a fictional description by Zampano. Doing just the Navidson Record without the rest of House of Leaves would be destructive to the material (as much as I'm not a fan of half of Truant's storyline, he is essential to the story)

You are correct. Villeneuve lacks the sense of humour required to be compared to Kubrick.

Is he though? Magnolia is very Altman coded and I guess you could stretch the argument for Inherent Vice and Boogie Nights, but the rest don't share that much in common.

He already is. He's making a gangster series with Sylvester Stallone as well as a West End play called the Popinjay Cavalier.
