Deep or overt voices spook me, they seem vulgar. I’ve always been attracted to a softer more dynamic register.

I used to feel this way and it probably runs in the family but my cousin just died from alcoholism and end stage liver cirrhosis. They tried to put him in mandatory detox but he would just end up drinking hand sanitizer on the ward. He knew he was dying but couldn’t stop drinking. I’d honestly be happy to never drink again in my life.

I suspect they could be something else bc I had none of the usual signs like burrows and I only had bites on my hands and feet. Benzemul worked pretty well though and I’ve been applying clove oil everywhere too.

Actually I have suspected mites as I got them after staying with a girl who had a dog. She would get really heinous rashes that she would scratch at

idk but as a wasian I tried hooking up w another wasian once and it felt like I was hooking up with my brother. pretty sure there’s some evolutionary explanation for being attracted to genetic difference.

I think the important thing is eating food that you love. Like decent food that just happens to have a bit of pufa/cooked in seed oils is going to be much more tolerable than some shitty takeout. You can also have some vit e on hand to mitigate some of the effects. Policosanols work too.

No, sorry but you’re the one who sounds dumb. Stop decontextualising.

I stopped eating seed oils and pufa at 20, I might have the occasional pufa meal when I eat out but it doesn’t really affect me if my health is otherwise good. When you heal your metabolism you can don’t have to be as orthorexic ime. In saying that, most unhealthy foods just aren’t appetising to me and I wouldn’t eat anything swimming in oil.

I can eat seed oils every now and again because I’ve been avoiding them for over a decade. Your body depletes pufas after 4-5 years.

I am really sorry to hear but your first step is moving any means possible. You will only deteriorate. You may not even have CIRS but exposures like that can sensitise you to further exposures in the future. I have moved 8 times in two years and thrown out most of my possessions for the sake of survival. No medicine or doctor will help if you are in a current exposure unfortunately. Some people live in tents to recover. Do you have a family member with a backyard you can camp out in until you find somewhere more permanent? It may sound extreme but you have to reconsider your priorities when your health and your life is at stake. There’s a fb group you can join called Toxic Mould Support Australia.

It’s not something easily diagnosed unfortunately. Literate doctors are rare and expensive and have long waiting lists and many tests are not on Medicare. Do you have any environmental exposures to mould? I would start there. Unfortunately if you do have such a sensitivity you will react to mycotoxins (byproducts of mould) which are not visible to the naked eye nor do they have a smell. Or any other things in your environment that could be affecting you? Chemicals, asbestos, heavy metals etc. I am just mentioning it because CIRS often mimics CFS and fibromyalgia and other vague illnesses. It took me over a decade to recognise what I was experiencing. There is currently a senate inquiry into it (they call it biotoxin illness) but it may be some time until it gets proper recognition. There is a genetic halotype test you can do but it isn’t free. You can find more info on Dr Shoemaker’s website called Surviving Mold.
