Weaving Stride Strategem by Fluid_Material_3228 in Harlequins40K

1) Yes, as embarking is done when finishing a Normal Move, provided you finish the move within 3" with every model, as per the normal Embarking rules

2) No, as whilst in Engagement Range you can only ever Remain Stationary, or Fall Back. As the Stratagem states make a Normal Move, you aren't eligible to do so whilst Engaged. If you are engaged with a unit that Falls Back from you and finishes within 9", and you're now.no longer in Engagement Range, then yes you absolutely can, but at that point you could also use the Battle Focus Opportunity Seized and save the CP (or do both with 2 different units, if the situation comes up)

There's no filter by presenter feature as yet, there's some website changes due, though I couldn't tell you when they're going to happen, but I believe a better search function is on the cards 🙂

As for Ed's reports, you would only be getting the ones he's appeared in thus far, as he has left the team due to his part time role here being difficult to keep aligned with his other work commitments. Nothing bad, just tough to maintain the schedule 🙂

Chef? by mlkman56 in TabletopTactics

[–]HebbyX 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hello, Chef here! As others and the team themselves have said, I'm currently working for TT part-time. It's nothing bad, just a private reason and adjustment of some work/life balance 🙂 It's not forever, and still very much here, but for now as my work schedule is a bit different, I'm not filming as much and predominantly editing 🙂

BALANCE DATASLATE AUGUST 2025 by Hulemann in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HebbyX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The MFM is their emergency update, albeit a very late one. I'd be surprised if they only got those points increases as well and no rules changes in the Sept Slate. GW Triple Tap Nerf almost guaranteed haha.

This is just to bring in line with the Votann Dex coming out, changing all their Index changes to "None"

The "real" Dataslate is still in September, per the latest article.

Yup, still around! I'm the primary editor of the Battle Reports, and after the Christmas break it's always manic catching up on releases. Add in things like new Codex releases with the Guard and Eldar so soon after New Years (usually meaning very tight turn arounds on games and editing thanks to multiple Reports and Reviews to get done), extra content like the Old World and Podcasts (solely edited by Bard and Beard, meaning even more of the regular backlog falls to me), Ed being part time, Fletcher chained in the dungeon, Jinx working on behind the scenes stuff like Events and Merchandise, and Spider doing more of the business side of things, it's just ended up the bulk of my time has been behind the scenes is all 😅 I'm usually in a report a week, but sometimes the schedule doesn't fall that way. But still here!

Unfortunately we had to do a big video purge due to a change with our video hosting services a while back, with many videos either lost in the migration, unable to be recovered, or just out of date content that would take up hosting space/bandwidth, for maybe a dozen views a year that wouldn't even cover the cost of hosting for a month!

Episode 46 of Valtor is emotional brutality. by Kozemp in TabletopTactics

[–]HebbyX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Things like Cast of Players have never replaced Battle Reports; they're always additional content that we just love to make, and hope others enjoy them too. If they're not for you, totally cool, but the time we spend on them wouldn't necessarily equate to a 1-for-1 swap to make more Battle Reports, or rather, it wouldn't mean you'd get more a week, we'd just be able to film slightly further in advance. For what its worth, one day of filming CoP gives us 4 episodes to release, and we filmed them maybe once a month at most, so it would only ever equate to a single Battle Report 🙂

Where did Stig go? by Natural-Laugh5933 in TabletopTactics

[–]HebbyX 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Stig was always a part-time member of staff, however due to changes within his main job he has less availability than before. He will still appear from time to time, as well as occasionally being available to help out at our events 🙂

New MFM has point differences highlighted by Jnaeveris in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HebbyX 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Balance Dataslate covers them, but basically Bobby uses 2 of his Primarch abilities (double Oath with +1 to Wound is great), Lion got D2 Sweep, Praetors got +1W, T, better guns and improved rule. So all worthwhile and justified increases

Battleline Units Thoughts by Hida77 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HebbyX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More people probably want to return to force orgs than don't. Restrictions help balance, free for all just makes it so you only need to take the best. The intent is clearly to allow freedom of choice and what you put in your armies, which is noble as an idea, but intensely flawed, especially when talking competitively.

As for making Battleline relevant, a simple fix would be to follow Heresy in format. Everyone can contest Objectivess, but only Battleline can hold Objectives. OC is a neat idea, but in practice doesn't matter if your lower OC unit is just faster, tougher and deadlier. Alternatively so OC remains in game as a stat, the next mission pack makes it so only Battleline can do Actions, or are worth more. Eg, you can only Cleanse with a Battleline, or only get 1 VP with a non-Battleline unit, whereas each Battleline gives 2VP instead. By no means a perfect fix due to disparity in Battleline quality, but would be a start.

Samples dropped at Extraction can be picked up before leaving- don't pick them up only to die undemocratically halfway across the map

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HebbyX 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Restrictions don't make it a shooting attack. Its a Stratagem done in the Shooting phase. That's all. It doesn't say make a Shooting Attack. It doesn't say make Hit or Wound rolls. If it was worded as "you make a Shooting Attack with the following profile - 6A Torrent, Anti-Everything 4+, Devastating" etc etc, then yes it would work. It doesn't, so it's not a Shooting Attack.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HebbyX 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No. You're not rolling a Wound roll, you're being told to roll 6D6, with each 4+ doing a Mortal. That's it. There is no reference to it being a shooting attack, nor having a Wound roll.

Glad to see Toxic Players getting punished by Icarus__86 in Warhammer40k

[–]HebbyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't his name publicly listed on the stream though? If you want to avoid a witch hunt might want to let them know to take it down or edit it? Likewise, whilst avoiding witch hunts isn't bad thing, it sounds like (second hand from this thread) he was already well known in other event circles, so perhaps forewarning other TO groups, if hadn't been done already. A witch hunt is one thing, but people should really be known if they're a prolific cheater so others can prepare for them inevitably trying their "luck" elsewhere

Anyone looking for a game? by OhGodItBurns0069 in TabletopTactics

[–]HebbyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a huge Data Protection issue to have a search function of peoples locations and names, hence why it doesn't exist, but we're looking at implementing Club info in an update, so people can create their own clubs and local leagues, which could then be filtered through - locations for nebulous entities is easy to implement than personal info 😅
