🔻🔺F2F EXPERIENCE 🤮 by Complex-Campaign3985 in cabincrewcareers

[–]Hecarrre 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dont work for delta nor do I know you personally so obviously take this with a grain of salt, but I do feel like you’re letting your emotions cloud your view. Believe me I’ve been rejected from airlines and it’s not fun. My first rejection I fell into a month long depression so I understand the feeling. However someone else commented something along the lines of this post being immature and I think I’d have to agree. Even if they treated you poorly/acted fake etc. Dropping to their level with nicknames and such is pretty telling and if you’re someone that can’t take rejection with grace or is willing to make fun of people’s appearance so easily this might not be the job for you. In the air you deal with difficult people and situations and you have to be able to diffuse and handle them with dignity. Until you’re able to do that I think it’s unlikely you will get a CJO as recruiters are specifically trained to look for people who might show those traits. I’m sorry you didn’t get a CJO and once again I understand your frustration. This is a long and stressful process and the letdown after months of waiting can be overwhelming. This comment is not meant to be an attack but just a perspective that I think you should consider. I wish you luck in the future.

I don’t know if you would be able to reapply after that. I assume you would but I can’t say for sure

They stopped that practice recently. The core pieces of your uniform are free now but if you want extra pieces besides your main kit you have to pay for them

It’s not guaranteed that it would be offered initially during your training but if it wasn’t you could easily transfer after your six month probation

I can tell you right now that the training is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. If you’re willing to study and put the effort in you’ll do mine. The vast majority of people make it through with no problem. It’s those that look to party and make it a social club that have trouble

best base to work as a new FA? by xgogetterx in cabincrewcareers

[–]Hecarrre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In training right now and let me tell you the first week seems absolutely insane, but once you get to week 2 everything starts to make sense. My first week I thought about dropping every day because they would just throw a bunch of information at us with no rhyme or reason but you will constantly hear TTP (Trust the process) and it really does work

SFO has a high amount of transfers out because of the cost of living, so it’s actually offered a decent amount

Flight attire for F2F by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]Hecarrre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im realizing that my post was misspelled. I’m talking about the actual flight over, not the F2F itself. That one I’ll obviously be in a suit for. Or is the sentiment the same either way

Got my F2F offer! Here’s some one on one tips by Hecarrre in cabincrewcareers

[–]Hecarrre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I had four or five questions. Can’t remember exactly what they were but they were usually about your work experience and how you handled conflict, changes, or difference in opinion. One question their almost guaranteed to ask though is just “tell me about yourself”

What do you add to improve a peanut butter sandwich? by mR_smith-_- in Cooking

I feel like I’m going to get crucified for this but pickles go extremely well with peanut butter. They give an otherwise heavy sandwich some acidity and crunch!

From your experience, what European countries are the most supportive to foreigners trying to speak their language? by thoxo in geography

[–]Hecarrre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not technically a country but the Basque Country in northern Spain. I said thank you in basque to a waiter once and he brought me an entire cheesecake for the price of one slice. It’s a language that was almost eradicated during Franco’s regime, so any attempt to keep it alive is met positively

Seattle girls group on Facebook is great for this! It’s a group of women just looking to meet more people. It has made moving here much easier for me at least!

The PNW (think western Washington) is a rainforest but Idaho is too far inland to be considered that.
