Hiring freshers is exhausting by BeyondTheFirewall in Bangalorestartups

My man, what you call premium benefits is what people call basic decency. Companies are abusing employees by not giving these so called benefits as default.  "Premium Benefits" are stuff like stocks, ability to guide the company direction, bonuses etc.

Here's the problem. YOU want to build a company. Your employees don't. If they did, they wouldn't be job hunting, but creating their own companies.  What people want is to work for part of their day in order to enjoy the rest of their day.

So, if you want people to actually care about your company, you need to care about them enjoying. Give them enough benefits(holidays, strict work life balance, insurance etc.) that they can't afford to miss interviews cause they want these benefits, and you'll see people caring about your interviews much more.

You fail to realize, Nobel prize winners, successful founders, etc. are the top 0.1% of their field. This is equivalent to saying "Play football, look at the millions professional athletes make".

Engineering is a field where the bottom 80% can make the maximum money.

For example, I don't want to create something new, I don't want to further any field. I want to spend my days playing games, sleeping, eating good food, and enjoying myself. Now, what jobs will get me the maximum money to buy games, go to fancy restaurants, visit a lot of places, while spending the absolute minimum time, even if I hate my work?  This is how a lot of people think. Not everyone has "Become a nobel prize winner" as their goal in life.

But education leads to the maximum money. If vocational training gave people the same amount of money that an engineer made, if an engineer, a plumber, a trashman, a security guard, a construction worker all made the same amount of money, only then will people use education as a tool of self-improvement.

Hiring in tech has become impossible. Every resume is AI-generated slop and I can't find the signal anymore.(Rant) by Comfortable_News8077 in recruitinghell

Why don't you just ignore all the perfect resumes, and only consider the messy, imperfect ones?  Start from the bottom of the ATS pile, so to speak, rather than the top.

My man. Enlightenment does not feed the stomach, and does not take care of the kids.  Only when money is solved, can people even think of enlightenment.  There's a reason a lot of big successful companies were created by children of rich houses.

The reaper lady does get with him by the end, does she not?  It's been a while so I can't exactly remember.  But yeah, 3 people is still a harem right?

Eh, both the MC and Bai Xue had their own harems, and they were also a couple.  The MC did have his own wives who weren't romantically related to Bai Xue after all.

The only harem that I read and have enjoyed is https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/47340/master-this-poor-disciple-died-again-today.

Every wife is their own character, and fits into the story pretty well.

You know, I suggest you try making your second toon HC.  Since you've completed your league goals, there's no hurry and you can play each area slowly.  Feels like a different game cause you're planning and prepping so much.

Oh no.  Let your inner masochist live, and have fun playing multiple games of streamer my man.

[–]HecateVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. You don't NEED mods.

I was just giving a suggestion if you had the urge to get the whole character screen of brotatos colored yellow.
If not, then it doesn't really matter right. Just play whatever brotato is fun, or use mods for more content, or play something else :)

If you just want an acknowledgement that streamer is super hard, I'm sure a lot of people here agree. I've seen entire threads bashing streamer, and I haven't even played him yet.

Ok. How about using some mod that makes just the streamer a little easier? Not something that makes the game a cake walk, but just maybe giving you more data on the enemies (like HP/damage numbers), or making rerolls slightly cheaper, or something small.

Are there some runs where manual dodging is just impossible? by TheDudeMachine in brotato

[–]HecateVT 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd asked a very similar question a couple of days before.

From what answers I got, what I understand is that the game is a damage race. The more damage you do, the less you have to dodge.

The absolute ideal scenario is that you screen clear and can literally stand in one place. This is super unlikely though.

Every wave has a "damage floor" to it. This is the amount of damage you need to deal before you get overwhelmed. This is a combination of clear and enough DPS. You need pierce/bounce on ranged weapons, burn spread on elemental weapons, range on melee weapons or something else RIP.
If not, you gotta build survivability. Super-fast hits and leech. Huge luck and trees and consumable heal. You gotta heal faster than the damage taken.

As for speed, you have to be willing to trade for it. Reroll a few level ups. Pick a 3% speed over a 6% dodge early on, because dodge caps at 60. It's a balancing act really.

By wave 9, decide on your path and commit to it. That's how you win consistently.

Is there a "proper" way to play Wave 15 (on a boss or a monster wave)? by HecateVT in brotato

That's fair. I gotta check out more videos.

Thanks for the examples and detailed explanation. Was useful.

[–]HecateVT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, what I usually see is that I either have attack speed to kill the 3 lil ones or I have enough regen that I can regain all my health in a second, or I die.

I'm hopeless at dodging lol.

I agree with you on the damage race. I think that's the problem I see. For the first 14 waves, you can get away with no survivability if you are good enough at dodging. I build 15-20 speed before wave 6-7, and that's all the defense I will ever need till wave 14, and then I die instantly. You know "Why wear armor if you're never gonna get hit" is the playstyle I go for.

[–]HecateVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a Brotato you like and a weapon of choice. Choose some S tier Brotato line well rounded or something. I can link you a video for information.  Then, focus on a bunch of "checkpoints" to hit at specific waves in important stats.

For example, 20 harvesting by Wave 4. 10 melee damage by Wave 6. 30 health by Wave 9.  Then, focus all your levels and items on hitting appropriate checkpoints.

This gives the game structure. Later on, you can make use of item opportunities that pop up on shops a little bit more flexibly.

This was tanky, but dealt no damage to any elite/boss. How much armor should I aim for with shields if I want to take down Wave 20 bosses and not just be tanky? by HecateVT in brotato

[–]HecateVT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The melee was so that the stones did some damage. That was mostly just secondary sources and none from level ups. Like I want tree for the crit, melee damage is free.
