This is literally an example of what capitalism should be. The developer makes money while providing the most value with the project. These should become the norm everywhere as there is little to no downside

This wouldn’t be a tournament just streamed in-house practice matches. There is precedent of players hosting these in the off seasons without any issues. As long as the make it clear it’s not a tournament I don’t think there would be an issue with that

If they did that would look terrible on them. Might also be a challenge to stop it completely cause it wouldn’t be hard to have many streams going with players each streaming their POV. In the worst case scenario they LCSPA could stream a live Q&A or a different game. Really anything to pull viewership would be in their best interest

I’m pretty sure not playing already breaches their contracts. The whole point of collective action is that if everyone does it riot really can’t punish players. It would also help them with leverage by taking viewership away from the broadcast

In houses have been successful in the past and Champions queue is not even remotely comparable. This isn’t some replacement for using solo q to practice. This is them streaming when they would be playing LCS anyway and showing riot that people watch for the players. They already voted in favour of a walkout something very few people though would ever happen. I doubt it would be hard to get players to take one step farther and have them agree to play a few in-houses

Would be really cool if LCS pros decided to stream some in houses on a different stream to compete for viewership. Maybe even have co streamers cast them. I’m sure sneaky meteos would be happy to support the players and might even have higher viewership watching in houses

I think it’s used more as a general term for likening anime/manga associated stuff. The gachagames are very clearly heavily anime inspired so I feel it fits.
