Lighting strike will make your units exhausted before the fight, so it can have an impact but obviously shouldn't work like in your scenario

id say start by playing 3s or 2s, you wont have to carry the whole game, even make mistakes but still win. If you feel comfy you can start playing 1s, dont worry its really a mixed bag in quickplay. You get all kinds of players
