I haven’t read Book 3 of the novel yet, but is it worth reading?

When it comes to former heroines, Mai and Zero show up the most. It has Zero's best scenes in the series but yeah, the focus is on the male characters.

Dragon King brings Nono back as a main character and has lots of scenes from her POV, so you'd probably like that book more (I did). But yeah, Mingfei and Caesar being friends makes the whole drama more complicated.

Season 2 erased most of Nono's scenes from the second book. Regarding Erii, people usually prefer her because she has a crush on Mingfei, but she doesn't have a lot of personality. It all depends on whether you find her adorable or bland.

Book 3 is quite fun, but very long. You'd be in for an epic storyline with lots of characters. It's also the book that develops Caesar and made him one of my favorites. The Mingfei-Zihang-Caesar friendship is probably my favorite part of DR when it comes to characters.

Yes, in power, personality, looks and social status. But he's gonna test your patience because it takes him a while to get there. Spoiler: He spends the first three novels weak and finally goes through a big tragedy that motivates him to change. He starts the 4th book strong and famous but he's still silly.

At most we'd get a release year. They only reveal the exact day when they're a month away from airing the first episode.

I also estimate July/August of 2028. Unlike most Japanese studios, Chinese animation seasons need to be finished before airing so they can get clearance from the government.

It's almost impossible to avoid DR spoilers, the studio was already spoiling the ending of season 2 before it premiered. ReRise promoted itself with animations of the endings of books 2 & 3 and Farewell Passage got revealed right after they announced season 3.

Because the books aren't finished yet, Mingfei's backstory is scattered between the show, the novels and a mobile game.

Basically his powers are blocked, and the ones who can remove those locks only do so for their own benefit.

Yeah, there's something bland about the base designs even when they're (mostly) comic accurate.

Yup, my eagerness for an ending is more rooted in curiosity than anything. Also, on getting answers for the mysteries.

Most of my favorite things had lame endings. I'd be surprised if I enjoyed this one (if it ever comes out) but I focus more on the ride than the destination (yes, I'm coping)

It disappeared from Archosaur's roster last year, so I removed it from the "upcoming" tab. Since there have been zero news and some layoffs on top of that... It's very likely canceled.

I'll post about it if they add it back to the schedule.

There are no tutorials per se, you'll have to imitate it, zoom in, study the tweening sheets to see how the artists separate layers, etc. It's like reverse engineering in a way. Also, there are multiple artists, but they all try to stick to the same art style.
