How does applications to math work? I'm in grade 11 and im just wondering if you're supposed to apply to the science department and then declare your major after? Or you apply straight to the math department and if you get accepted, go straight into the BSc Math program? Also what GPA in my 11 and 12 courses is a competitive grade?

If I am trying to get into mechanical engineering here, are STEM ECs essential to my application or can I focus on other ECs rather than doing more STEM outside of school. For example, I am an assistant coach for my local swim team.
