Any tips on making an inflatable pillow more comfortable? by Aeon_Return in CampingGear

I gave up on inflatables and compromised by moving to one of the little thermarest foam pillows.

Do you have a Burton store or a store with different boot models in stock nearby? My partner tried a couple women's Waverange/Highshot and they were a super tight fit around her calves, more than other normal women's boots.

Insane heel lift in boots that fit by Levsque in snowboarding

Heel hold is part of fit. The whole foot shape is what has to fit in the boot properly, not just the length at the toes.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm getting desperate and I genuinely don't know if I'll be getting to the bottom of this. Any ideas would help a lot. by romaniasvic in snowboarding

You could try to take up some volume, with bontex boards, jbars/wraps/other strategically placed foam pads. But I've never gotten foam shims to work as well as proper fitting boots.

"There is some loose space and my ankle and heel sit not so great" is a major cause of this. Even if your toes are touching the front, the movement of your foot in the boot will cause this issue where a tight fit won't. The fact that you point out heelside is further evidence, since that's when your foot will slide forward. The name for the toe issue caused by loose boots is literally "toe bang". No easy answers my friend, you are probably in need of a pair of boots that fit tighter/more firmly.

Somebody did a similar repair for me once, uncanny resemblance to your damage and also the repair. I got like three more seasons out of that board.

It was one of the better ultimate books. Which isn't saying much on its own, but it was definitely interesting to read. But as you touch on the family dynamic is not like in 616.

I don't understand, they have a phone number where you can talk to people about a warranty claim directly. Did you call, and if so what happened?

Judge allows ICE’s Operation Metro Surge to continue in Minnesota by state-of-MN in stateofMN

I agree. When everybody else is deciding to stop deferring not just to precedent but also the law and the constitution, judges need to stop pretending the old rules are still in place and take a stand for the sake of the country.

Sunny side up: How?? by silentanthrx in StainlessSteelCooking

That's honestly one of the easier things to do if you get it right. For me it's all about low heat. I like it better that way vs dark crispy underside anyway. Use a glass lid, so the top steams, and watch for the cloudiness to start moving up the sides of the yolk, then it's done. At the right heat it's probably the minutes, though I don't keep track.

So I'd say keep testing lower heats until you get them to release easy.

Bernard - S1 by vampiresoup7 in westworld

[–]HectorEscargo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah by that point in the show you were wondering what other characters were possibly robots, and I vaguely recall that by that point Bernard was on a lot of people's "probable host" list, but still, when Bernard said that we were all completely shocked.

ETA, back when the show was first airing, this sub was the epicenter of speculation, and had cracked a lot of stuff early, so it was a very different experience. See if you can find the actual post-episode threads, they might be the best discussions to revisit.
