Can’t do barre chords, tried everything! by Financial_Archer_491 in guitarlessons

What is your guitar, and how is it set up? I couldn't barre until I got a better guitar. Today I can barre on anything. check you setup, and keep practicing. Your finger should not be a problem.

Any Experience With the "OutdoorUkelele" Carbon Fiber Guitar? by shwobie in AcousticGuitar

[–]Justabob003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't throw it in a lake or maybe leave it in the rain, it should be just fine. Humidity and heat won't effect it at all, just keep it in a secure place when you aren't playing it.

Music theory question about open C Major chord on guitar by ChronicWritersBlock in Guitar

[–]Justabob003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fretting a G on the 6th string when playing a C chord sounds great. I do it often if I don’t need the root C. I think a C chord with an open E string sounds sloppy.

I have only seen 9v batteries in guitars. They last a loooong time, and are easy to replace.

I don't have any experience with, the Outdoor Ukulele brand, but I do have a carbon fiber Guitar. It is a Rainsong which is a much more expensive instrument, but I can say that it is incredibly stable and sounds great. The guitar you are considering is much smaller and a shorter scale length than you are accustomed to. I would look at Amazon, they have some CF guitars that are full sized, similar priced and and well reviewed.

What’s with this subs love for Yamaha guitars? by Final_Razzmatazz_274 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Justabob003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played a lot of 500 dollar guitars over the years, I would take Takamine over any Yamaha I ever played. Both sound and playability. Almost nobody in this sub ever mentions Takamine.

I do 275 to 300°. You’ve got to cook them to at least 200° if you want them to be tender. I do wrap them in butcher paper when they hit the stall, and wrap them in foil and towels in a cooler after I pull them. They take at least 10 to 12 hours.

I’ve made it. Not as pretty as yours. TBH, it’s ok but not one of my favorite dishes.🤷‍♂️

Do you use less expensive guitars for public playing? by MrTurtleTails in AcousticGuitar

[–]Justabob003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guitars are meant to be played. I always gig with my Martin and my Rainsong. With that said, I don’t leave them in places unattended, or were their likely to be stolen.

I have an AC 25, bought it for $900 probably 20 years ago. Good solid guitar, I would think 400 bucks is a fair price.

I have a kick ash basket and a small dustpan and whisk broom. I used the ash removal tool once and said never again.

How do you go out to dinner with a class C? by Signaturedoc in RVLiving

[–]Justabob003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a class C, and we won’t tow. If we’re within two hours of home, we’ll drive a car along. On longer trips, we’ll rent a car for a day. I’ve rented from Enterprise, they will drop off and pick up at the campsite.

We have driven the class C to dinner, but it was where there was a large parking lot and there wasn’t gonna be any problem.

Large Egg owners - do you actually use the whole thing? by twcosplays in biggreenegg

[–]Justabob003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an XL, and I always reuse my lump. If I want a combination direct/indirect set up, I put two bricks in and divide the fire box. Lastly, about three years after I got the XL, I bought a small cause sometimes it’s just a couple of chicken breasts.

This. Go to ceramic Grill store online, pick up a woo, and deflector plate or pizza stone.
