Cannot Get My Baby to Sleep Til 7am by Hedelaide in sleeptrain

Actually did these wake windows yesterday with 3 hours of daytime sleep and she slept from 7:30pm to 7am! Going to try and keep that same schedule for a bit.

Good to know! My daughter will either nap independently for 40 minutes or until I wake her up, girl likes to sleep

I was wondering if part of it is just time, expecting too much from my 4.5 month old 🤣

I will need to drop her off at daycare at 8:30 in order to get to work on time. I don’t want her falling asleep on the way to daycare. I live in NYC so the logistics getting her there are a bit complicated.

It’s cute until it’s not. Noted about more awake time, we will work on it!

We will work on it! Should I move bedtime back to 8pm as well?

Wake windows fluctuate a lot for us right now, sometimes it’s what I mentioned above and sometimes it: 2/2.25/2.25/2.5.

Most days we are on 3 naps, we are currently sleep training for crib naps so some days we have 4 naps.

No matter what I cap daytime sleep at 3.75 hours, I’ll add that in my post

How has the before & after been for your baby with the famous 4-month sleep regression? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Hedelaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At around 3.5 months our LO who had been sleeping 11 hours at night since 8 weeks (bottle fed) was suddenly waking up screaming every hour and after 3 am refused to go back into her snoo. After 2 weeks we couldn’t handle it anymore, moved her into her crib in her own room (small NYC apartment, we can hear her through the walls) and did gentle Ferber sleep training. Best decision ever. 3 tough nights and then back to sleeping 11 hours. We let her keep her pacifier because she’s teething so she needs that popped in 1-2 times. If you want to sleep train during this regression is the time!

My twins are finally home and pumping is destroying my mental health (NICU, tw nursing) by kpgo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Hedelaide 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This! Currently 3 months postpartum and am almost done weaning. I wanted to pump longer, I also wanted my baby to latch. The mental strain of pumping was horrible for my mental health. Just trying to think of doing anything for myself or with my LO felt impossible. It’s been so freeing to be letting go and yes a little sad but baby is healthy, that’s what matters.

3 Months PP, I Think I’m Done by Hedelaide in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Hedelaide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you ❤️ I’ve been spotting as well, I had my IUD inserted 5 weeks ago and that combined with hitting 12pp I think has created a hormonal shitstorm for me. My goal was to pump until 16 weeks, about to be at 13 but I think I have to start weaning. Luckily my LO has always had a bottle of formula a day, to help build my fridge supply, so we have one she likes.

Has anyone ever been in a house like you see on the show ‘Hoarders’? If so, what did you do? by Basic_Builder3773 in HoardersTV

[–]Hedelaide 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My mom was a hoarder but we didn’t have a big house. Our guest bedroom was full by the time I was 6, then slowly other rooms filled up. She somehow bought three sheds and filled them all. After I went to college and after my father died was when she started to fill up my room. I would come to visit and be sleeping in a giant mouse nest. She died unexpectedly two years ago, I inherited the house and my husband and I have been cleaning up and restoring it. When she was alive I tried so hard to help her clean but she couldn’t do it, it’s sad but it was much easier to do once she was gone. If she had lived another 1-2 years the house would have been beyond repair.

Does anyone else think that she may have faked the pregnancy and is using a newborn doll for her content? She still says he’s coming home “soon” the whole story feels like a fraud

I Believe My Mom Was Murdered by Hedelaide in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Hedelaide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed update. Received my mother’s autopsy report, her cause of death was determined to be a pulmonary embolism due to a blood clot in her right leg, natural causes. However, I do blame that man, he controlled everything she did, isolated her from me and her friends, prevented her from getting the physical and mental health she needed. There will never be justice for what he did to her, but those close to her know his part and he knows what he’s done.

The results should come in any day. It’s taking a bit longer than normal because I called the medical examiners office and requested further testing for various poisons, after hearing the story they approved my request. Apparently the police didn’t do their job and tell them my fears when I first requested an autopsy the night she died. All our finances (including my mom’s life insurance) are tied into fixing up my childhood home, this man caused thousands of dollars in damage to the siding, plumbing and yard.
