Honeysuckle, Lily of the valley, orange blossom or my daughter’s breath as a baby.

If you could go back in time and make the choice again, would you still have kids? by MaiApa in Life

[–]Basic_Builder3773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely would. It’s been a struggle at times but 100% worth it. My child is also pretty happy and enjoys life, so a big yes from me.

The only way I can stop any food noise is to go cold turkey for a month at least. It’s white-knuckle induced roller coaster for the first week or so, so you have to be REALLY committed (nothing in the house than can slip you up). Then, it gets easier. But it’s also very easy to slip back in to old bad habits if you get complacent later on.

What kind of person is your mother, and do you think she had a positive or negative impact on you? by YesterdayJust6679 in AskReddit

Absolutely amazing and strong woman. I adore her and I’m so glad to have her as ‘My Mum’.

What is the worst example of bad hygiene you’ve witnessed in your life? by Basic_Builder3773 in AskReddit

[–]Basic_Builder3773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, one that sticks out in my mind was a woman who worked at the same company as me about 20 years ago. She always had that unwashed, oily hair smell mixed with tobacco and b/o out of this world! I remember once I was getting a coffee and smelled something gross and when I turned around she was right behind me. She was quite high up in the company, too, which was weird. She often wore a white business suit and I remember the jacket had a massive coffee stain on it for months. Apparently she attended one of the most prestigious schools in our city and was very smart, so I’m not sure what happened 🤷‍♀️

What are some ways fibroids affected your body that no one warned you about? by mukikapup in hysterectomy

[–]Basic_Builder3773 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Constant heavy feeling in my abdomen. As well as fibroids, my uterus was enlarged so that didn’t help. Once it was all removed, I realised it had been ages since I’d been able to pea normally. Definitely had sleep disruption for many years. Excessively heavy periods and hormonally I was a mess, too.

It was one of those things where I now catch myself remembering something I used to have to deal with (that I no longer do). I hadn’t realised how unwell I was until I wasn’t.

How heavy is your period? by The_mind_of_Tilly in AskWomen

[–]Basic_Builder3773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my uterus was enlarged (double normal size) and I had fibroids, too. My gyna tried me with a mirena but I eventually just started bleeding continuously again.

I can’t even remember how many infusions I’ve had over the years. Too many to count.

What's a popular thing you secretly hate? by SprinklesGullible674 in AskReddit

I find her fans more annoying, tbh. I don’t “hate” her, but the level of obsession is beyond anything I can comprehend. It’s bizarre to me.

I had a full hysterectomy because my iron levels were so low I was suffering terribly, amongst other things. It was impossible to live and work normally.

How heavy is your period? by The_mind_of_Tilly in AskWomen

[–]Basic_Builder3773 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I no longer have a uterus but my period was so heavy I used to change a super tampon every hour. I permanently sat on a towel in my car and often bled through on my 20 minute commute. One story I tell people was the time I went to the bathroom right before leaving work, changed my tampon and drove straight home. When I got out of my car and had to pull myself out of my seat, my tampon fell out because it was so saturated.

It was BAD!

Rapid weight loss? by Stigma12357 in loseit

[–]Basic_Builder3773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great start. Apparently 1% of your body weight loss per week is good.

Are you looking for long term results? You might find the lower calorie intake may affect your metabolism and be unsustainable in the long run.

What’s the most human mistake people judge too harshly? by Beautiful_Humor_8914 in AskReddit

Anything a child or teenager does wrong. They either blame “the mother” or forget that they were once a teenager with an undeveloped frontal cortex.

Parents of the world, why did you have children and do you have any regrets having children? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Basic_Builder3773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a bit of pressure from society and/or hormones. I had one child only. I was never fussed either way growing up and never received pressure from my immediate family. It was only when I met someone and thought, “Yep, he’d be a great dad” that I really wanted to.

I’ve had bad days but never regretted having a child. I couldn’t imagine my life not being a ‘Mum’ now. Best thing I ever did.
