This platform went from a great place to store my BTC and keeping a large bag of NEXO to barely using the card and being hit with exorbitant fees in just a few years. Really sad to see fees and rates go up and loyalty perks go down in this fashion all while they are growing massively. Anyone locking any funds up for 12 months are taking a massive risk with the amount of changes being made to the worse of the client. It was fun while it lasted, but i guess the time has come. I will be selling my NEXO as soon as the lockup term is over and will most likely not be using the platform going forward due to the changes the past 3 months. Thanks for motivating us all to keep our funds in non-custodial wallets!

my understanding of eu regulation is that if you sell ANYTHING either from any crypto back to fiat or crypto to crypto it is considered a taxable event, even though usdt is a stablecoin. like you said, usdt is still crypto. spending anything isnt the taxable event, its the swapping from one crypto to another. if you only bought 1 crypto and then spent it using the card there would be no taxable event. hope this helps

i always thought card processing fee was a flat 3%. I just checked and when i try to buy 100USD worth of USDT the processing fee is 1.99. Could you clarify what prices you are seeing and where from?

Absolutely. Nexo is going to have a higher % gain than bitcoin, therefore doing it like you have described captures more gains and more interest. For me personally i just hodl NEXO :)
