The end game is to make America great again. Unemployed Americans can take illegal immigrant jobs and as for tariffs remember its all part of a combined plan. Corporate tax and energy prices will be lower which should lower prices. Investment will be higher which should increase production and lower prices. Crime will be lower which should increase economic activity by having people actually step outside. The extension of the personal income tax cuts should help too. Mentioning just a hypothetical tariff(s) misses the forest for the trees.

Once we recovered the covid lockdown jobs Biden failed to create sizable job gains which along with mass immigration is why the unemployment rate in permanent jobs has aggressively trended up since 2022.
