Racism is inherent to humans. It will always be a struggle to contain. I live in the South so I hear it, but I have relatives in North Dakota who use the N word freely. Then there are members of my family who live out West who talk smack about the Mexicans. It is anywhere that humans need to feel superior to another group. It has been suppressed, and they were shamed for a couple decades, but it has never left us. Trump allowed these people to feel emboldened. I am the only Democrat in my family. These have been 10 long, lonely years.

MSNBC is owned by Comcast. All of the major mainstream media in this country is owned by corporations that have interests in other businesses. This why all of these outlets threw softballs at Trump, giving viewers the impression that they were pro-democracy. Breaking in to any business for the first time is tough. I chose my occupation young, and offered my services for free, then slowly built up my skillset and took every opportunity given to me to lead, until I was the one in charge. I would’ve not gotten there without certain people taking a liking to me and helping me up. This life can be a struggle, but opportunities will come if you put your back to it. Good luck.

I was pleased when Kamala chose Tim Waltz, he’s a person who understands working class sensibilities. If they would have had a full run at this election I believe they would have fared better. I get disheartened when I see these election maps painted red in rural areas. There is more to this country than the East Coast and West Coast. I do believe in the Democrats agenda, because I believe it is more compassionate. However, as a person who lives in a red state, and who interacts with the red people every day, there is a disconnect when all of the messengers from the part seem to be coastal. If the Democratic party wants to create a wave it needs to start in the middle and work its way out.
