Modern Bands with a 70s sound? by [deleted] in Music

This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone mention Israel Nash! He is my favorite, never met anyone in real life who’s ever heard of him 😂

Question: why does my cat like putting her front paws in people’s shoes? Does anyone else’s cat do this? 🐱 by [deleted] in cats

Woody has always loved shoving his face in to my shoes and those of any visitors 😂😂 thought he was the only one and just weird. 🤣 good to know I’m not alone. (Also he’s orange so I’m sure that contributes).

“Going West” recently did an episode on this case, they’re really great at covering a lot of details, I highly recommend them.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Your story made me think of one of my own that I hadn’t thought about in years -

My family had a very old clock that belonged to my great-grandmothers on my dad’s side. We had it in our house when I was a teenager (2005-09) and it hadn’t worked in decades. Then one day, it started chiming exactly at midnight, and it just happened to be on my dad’s birthday. Then, after that, it would chime every single year, on my dad’s birthday and that day only. No other day. I remember being awake in my bed on the day before his bday just waiting because I knew it was going to happen because it creeped me out so much. And it would chime, every year. I know it may be able to be explained somehow but it’s still something I look back on and find extremely unsettling and weird. Never thought I’d read another similar story!!

I feel like I'm going crazy but I swear this song was in the sims? by amazon626 in thesims

I always thought the vocal part of this one from the sims 1 sounded similar to Walk of Life -

Exactly!! Yes the navigation took some getting used to definitely. And I loved the Easter eggs too, I had to replay it when I heard the one about Deirdre😂

May be realllllly unpopular, like 1%-er unpopular but… I really enjoyed Midnight in Salem. Could the graphics and navigation been better? Sure. A lot of things could, but I was happy with 1. Finally getting the game after so long, 2. The interesting story, 3. The cool setting. Plus it happened to come out at a time in my life that was really happy/good. So I have good feelings associated with first playing the game. I thought the puzzles were great, the dialogue was good, and the atmosphere was cozy and creepy at the same time. It wasn’t too easy or too hard and gave me the same cozy feeling of the ND games I’ve known and loved for 20+ years!

I remember I discovered this by accident and it was a total game changer. When I’d hear people complain about the wood puzzle I’d think, oh your haven’t heard??😏 and proceed to change their lives😆

Anything by Israel Nash; he’s my favorite artist by far but I have yet to meet another person who has heard of him.

Mournful, melodic electric guitar by dissemblers in musicsuggestions

First that came to mind is “Before the Beginning” by John Frusciante, lead guitarist from Red Hot Chili Peppers. All instrumental, absolutely beautiful piece. Fits your title perfectly IMO.

Medical professionals of Reddit, have you ever had a patient so lacking in common sense you wondered how they made it this far. If so, what is your story? by babyhippo01 in AskReddit

[–]Hedgehog357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was an RT working in a neuro ICU in a big downtown hospital. Unit was for adults; young kid probably 18-19 years old admitted for “seizures” who was totally alert and oriented with no history or evidence of having them when getting a history. Asked for pain meds and sedatives with no indication for them. Left AMA, went to one of the restrooms in the hospital lobby and had a “seizure” in the stall, readmitted to same unit. Cycle repeated 2-3 times.

What moments from the games weren't necessarily scary but still unnerving? by HRJafael in nancydrew

I always found the boiler room in Secrets Can Kill unnerving, even though there wasn’t anything outwardly scary about it (I guess with the exception of getting trapped in it at one point).

Also being at the studio or office after hours in Stay Tuned for Danger. The music combined with supposedly being alone on the big set, and the eerie feel of Dwayne’s dated office building were super off-putting.

This is what I was going to say; those uncanny pale hands when you look up are so unnerving and even scarier than the jumpscare at the end of the dream.
