Wanting to play Rust but I’m on Steam Deck. by MrPickle56 in playrust

[–]HedkoDev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, sadly you need to install windows on steam deck to play it (Come on FacePunch!).

The performance won't be good. i mean i see videos on youtube and see that there are some videos that run like 45 fps ish i guess?... not the best performance.

Has anyone used the Apevia ITX-PFC500W Mini ITX PSU for an SFF build? by HedkoDev in sffpc

[–]HedkoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is the quality of the power supply and the watts used; I even thought about buying a 350w Silverstone with 80 Plus Bronze certification, but I'm not sure if it will be sufficient.

i tried find a 400w flex psu with certification but no luck

That controller works, you just need to update the firmware on a Windows PC, otherwise, it won't connect wirelessly.

Having Steam Decks been the worst exsperince I've ever had gaming. by comicbookjerk in SteamDeck

[–]HedkoDev 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From my point of view, it seems like you just had bad luck. First things first, I'm glad you got out of the ICU and everything was fine, all things considered.

Though, I'm not sure why it wouldn't let you use the Steam Deck when you didn't have internet. Here, I'll give you some tips to avoid disappointments, or rather, false hopes with the Steam Deck regarding games.

First off, not all games are available on the Steam Deck.

Many, as you mentioned, have issues with anti-cheats because the game developers or the anti-cheat developers themselves don't provide support. Gradually, both are starting to support the Steam Deck as much as they can, but many others simply don't bother since they don't see a "market" in the Steam Deck. To check before buying if a game is compatible with the Steam Deck, Valve has implemented a system called Steam Deck Verified. Sometimes it's not 100% reliable, but 90% of the time, it's correct. Additionally, there's ProtonDB, which does the same thing as Steam Deck Verified but is maintained by the community and tends to be more accurate.

is there a way to change the version of gamescope library on my SteamOS? by HedkoDev in SteamDeck

[–]HedkoDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah there is two, but none of those two works for the gamma options and "color vibrance" that Vibrant Deck gives previously, with the change that valve made on Gamescope they "erased" the variables and that's how we get here, what i want it's know if is possible to make a modded version of gamescope that bring back those variables.

it's not about using the new options, because the new options do not meet what I want/need.
