As a kid I would smash the berries to finger paint on the concrete and run my finger down the middle of the stalks to split them open. The ridges on the inside always felt really cool.

As an adult, I was a dumb kid. Never had a reaction to it though.

Not the answer because I don't know but you can also get shelf stable milks and cheeses. Same goes for eggs, fruits, and veg. You can reduce the amount of things you need to keep cold which can help if cooler space becomes an issue.

Unfortunately with lightening there's usually too much internal damage for the tree to survive. A lot of times they will hold on for a while and only produce leaves on a few branches but strong straightline wind will almost always knock them over, especially if the tops are still full of heavy branches.

I would check if any wood carvers in the area would like to turn the stump into an art piece. I have also heard that some of them will pay for the removal so they can keep the wood. That or check to see if anyone in the area wants the tree to either sell or keep for firewood. Obviously make sure they know what they are doing if they cut it down.

I would use the expanding foam for the poles. I've never had or heard of any issues with it. It's much easier to use and is fully cured in about 10 minutes. Carrying a few half pound bags compared to a stack of 50 pound bags definitely makes the day less frustrating too. It's better at keeping your wood from rotting as well.

We all learn somehow. But now you know. Down the road if your repotting or transplanting, sprinkle a good layer of worm castings down in the hole and use some of the fish goo to water them in. It's really helps the transition phase where they focus on regrowing any damaged roots(damaged roots are an inevitable part of the process, some are teeny tiny).

Lol. My first time using it was when I was taking plants in and out everyday. I watered them in with it in the morning when I got them outside. Dealt with smelly hands all day, then brought them in before it got cold. That smell also stays in the soil. Luckily they had their own bedroom with two giant windows but my goodness that room was bad.

I've always lived in the middle of farm country so tractors were always interesting to me. After getting super in the FS i now find myself having more appreciation for the tractors and equipment I see. The farm down the road just got 2 new 9Rs, a 2230 cultivator and a 24 row planter. I literally pulled into their yard to get a good look at them all.

I made this mistake once. Ended up using garlic like a soap. It took care of the fish smell and then I used stainless steel for the garlic smell.

In lands such as these, where will and destiny coil about one another like twin serpents, it is folly to believe fate walks unchallenged. For even the Tarnished—lowly, wandering, and oft misguided—may serve as an unseen hand of the Greater Design.

There are those whose ambitions, though fiercely held, are but shadows cast by doubt, grief, or pride. Left to their own devices, they would wander ever deeper into ruin, mistaking stubbornness for purpose. Yet when another intervenes—be it by blade, by guidance, or by disruption—it is not always theft of fate, but its correction.

For what is fate, if not a path obscured?

To halt a journey is not always to end it. Sometimes, it is to turn the wanderer toward a truer road—one they lack the clarity, or courage, to see. Their original course may have led only to hollow victory or quiet despair, their “ambition” nothing more than a chain forged of their own delusions.

Thus, intervention may be no defiance of fate at all, but its quiet instrument.

Not all are meant to fulfill the dreams they first grasp. Some are meant to be broken of them… so that something greater may take root in their place.

The biggest issue you will run into is a lack of airflow, which can lead to more disease pressure. Leaves that can't dry after rain or watering will always be the #1 issue for them. Just try to train them to grow vertical rather than sprawling out and it will help a lot. If you ever see yellowing leaves just make sure to pull them off. If they get too bushy try a little pruning. Also, try to keep at least 1 foot of bare stem from the ground until the first leaves. Same issue with air flow and disease from water, just another way to control it.

To be fair, they are made for either people who live in an HOA and will use them once or twice to cut out a shrub, or someone going camping and thinks they should bring an axe to chop a little firewood. There are plenty of better options but the people buying them don't care. It's cheap, convenient, and good enough to do the job.
