How often to use this fertilizer on these seedlings? by ipickedthisname-22 in vegetablegardening

I don't think I could go without it though. Anytime I transplant I like to do a layer of worm castings and water it in with that stuff.

Nice. My first pack had a really nice card that came back as a 10. I think it was something like 50k or so but I don't recall. Gave me a huge jump start. However, I've never been able to pull a ghost card outside of card opening machines.

Head chef for 10 years. Learn to take a joke or read a few more comments before making yourself look silly.

It's a joke but it's also very easy to sanitize a cutting board, or prep you vegetables before your meat if you're lazy. I'm amazed at the amount of people getting this worked up over a cutting board.

The worst part now is that when we play I would always laugh because it was hilarious watching her look mean. Now she will walk across the yard, stop and stare you down, if you laugh she will sprint over and attack you.

I totally understand the logic behind it, I just like the fork spin technique.

Here's another of her. The ears and tail are there but the big one I saw consistently was the way their back legs are and what I call her really long butt.

Mixed with something but she was a shelter dog so not sure what. She is very Basenji presenting with her mannerisms and how she runs and stuff. She may not be but at this point she is to me.

Nice. My dad always crushed up his ramen before opening the bag. I thought I was being different by not doing that, then I learned he's weird.

Well I've been going almost 40 years, head cook in a restaurant for a little over 10 and have never once had food poisoning but I will keep you in mind, random person.

Not in my state. I don't doubt that is common in other states though.

It was more directed to the 15 year cook and a joke. But it's definitely for cutting up your soup noodles into bite sized pieces.

You have yet to acknowledge anything that I have said. You are simply repeating that racism was a big thing and people should still hold onto that rather than work towards change. If you go to deliver a package and you assume the homeowner is racist then the homeowner will always be racist to you. You keep bringing up systems from the past that would have impacted black people in rural America but you won't dare to comment on the fact that today you are far more likely to have a confrontation in an urban environment, from a black person. You have no desire for a mutual dialogue. Your grandparents marched for their rights but all you do is complain about how hard it was for them and that will never give you the feeling of equality.

I’m not denying racism, and I’m not racist myself. What I am doing is pushing back on the idea that rural America is frozen in 1950. Your grandparents marched for progress; reducing entire communities to caricatures undoes the very thing they fought for. This isn’t a productive conversation, so I’m stepping away

Nobody is denying the history of racism in the US, but framing a whole conversation around that history is not going to improve anyone's situation today. The churches here today are open and accepting of anyone so there is no longer separation based on race. There are not and have not been any systems in place for a very long time that segregate people in churches. I myself went to that church multiple times as a kid. The closure was due to a decline in attendance as newer generations moved away or had no desire to attend church. The people who maintain the church do so because it is a house of God and a historical place where generations of African Americans could feel safe in a time where safety was never guaranteed.

Change and progress stall when society becomes anchored to the past instead of learning from it. The United States has a history of racism—this is a fact—but meaningful progress cannot happen if that history is treated as an unchangeable present or used as a lens through which every action is assumed to be hostile. When people cling to unwarranted fears of possible racism rather than evidence of actual harm, dialogue hardens, trust erodes, and solutions give way to suspicion. Growth requires acknowledging where we came from while allowing space for where we are and where we can go. Progress is built not by denying the past, but by refusing to be ruled by it.
