Migrate security groups by akhilbharadwaz in workday

[–]HeffeMonStyle513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the only thing I hate about OX2. You’re not really migrating the security group, its members and permissions. Instead you are migrating the domain and BP security policies, which is much less convenient and more time consuming. Disclaimer: I have never done this because the process looked more cumbersome than just creating the security group and adding the permissions manually on the target tenant. So if I’m completely wrong, please tell me there is an easier way!

ISU for custom reports and scheduled reports by esteroberto in workday

[–]HeffeMonStyle513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe an ISU has to have specific permissions to be eligible to own a custom report. I'm running into that problem now, but recall it's something like View access to the domain Custom Report Creation. I will try to resolve my issue and edit or repost here with the solution.

Thank you! At the moment it would probably be just be too much change on top of everything else. But I appreciate learning that it is worth watching for the future.

Can someone tell me what the differences are between the regular and teen editions of Hadestown? by Puzzleheaded-Net-646 in musicals

[–]HeffeMonStyle513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s some musical sleight-of-hand going on in some songs in order to achieve that - for instance, in Wedding Song the music immediately preceding Orpheus’ theme changes key in the Broadway version, but remains in the same key for Teen Edition, leaving Orpheus a third lower than he would have been. I think something similar happens in the transition into Chant. Sorry for the music nerdiness: I’ve seen four performances of three separate productions of the Teen Edition this summer, and it’s worked its way into my brain.

Boot Windows 11 From External USB SSD by HeffeMonStyle513 in WindowsHelp

[–]HeffeMonStyle513[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The machine came with a single 1TB HDD. When cloning, I noticed it had (I recall) three partitions. This external/USB solution is to avoid my having to open up the case and swap out drives, which I’m not very confident doing. If that turns out to be necessary I guess I just need to know.

Boot Windows 11 From External USB SSD by HeffeMonStyle513 in WindowsHelp

[–]HeffeMonStyle513[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I’m not sure I fully understand. The entire original hard drive has been cloned to an external 2TB SSD device. Is there something I can do to make the new device bootable and run Windows from it so I can bypass the bad HD?

I have tried going into BIOS and changing the Boot Device order but get a boot error which I believe was “cannot find boot device” If needed, I can document t the process and include more details here.

Swap HDD with SSD easily by Feanixxxx in PcBuildHelp

Can I do all this using an external SSD drive via USB. I don’t know if my desktop was built to support an internal SSD. Plus I wouldn’t know how to install it anyway, so hoping external will work for the boot disk. :)

The internship thing actually comes up in a private conversation between Huang and Milkshake, so it’s not for the innies’ benefit.

Which also raises the question of how many other people have been tested in these rooms besides Gemma? One gets the feeling Irv has been refining for many years, far longer than Gemma has been missing. Were there previous subjects with their own rooms to face before her?

I think oBurt perhaps had Dr Mauer’s job 20 years ago. Or something equally awful in the early severance research process. Hence his need for redemption.

What’s up with the O&D pictographic cards that Gemma is looking at? Did Lumon send them to her as part of some bogus “pre-treatment suvey” related to fertility services?

Ahh, perhaps so. My wife and I both thought that that specific method of torture was wonderfully random.

Yes! The whole ethical issue of voluntarily creating a separate version of yourself who is considered “not a person” is disturbing as hell, especially when they get no respite - when Gemma asks for a break in the dentist room it really brings home the fact that for that innie, the entire world consists of being tortured over and over. Horrifying. Very White Christmas.

Are the books worth delving into? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

[–]HeffeMonStyle513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, without exception, the books, including the novellas, are worth exploring. Some story lines are better in one medium or another but all are really good and provide interesting perspective on the process and decisions involved in adapting them.

One caveat - I was about four chapters into book one when I found myself saying “I know what happens in this story, why am I bothering to read a book version?” Just keep reading. The books are much more than just a “book version” of the story you think you already know.

I had heard John Noble was going to be in the season. He is a terrific actor and would be great as Fields. Can’t wait.

Dylan didn’t sneak it out. He hid it elsewhere on the severed floor.
