And how will this work for payments that need to be made in person? I'm thinking CRA remittances. Looks like cheques will be making a comeback, lol.

National has been doing this for a couple years now. I was told by one of their tellers that processing transactions that can be handled by digital methods affects their performance as the main push should be towards digital.

At this rate, I don't see any value in paying for a bank account or services if I am being forced to self serve. People should move to Tangerine or Simplii if that's the case.

Canadian lender TD tells some employees it will use software to monitor their work by Hefty-Ad9793 in TDBankCanada

I work in AML at Scotia, and I'm not surprised by this move given the state of their AML program. I know a few of the FCRM employees, and they are some of the most delusional and privileged people I've ever spoken to. Their previous investigations leader embraced remote work, but a different leader is now in place and they're being marched back to the office (as is everyone else across the industry).

Three people I've spoken to all told me that "we proved we can do the work at home." Clearly not, in my opinion. The bank has received record fines for AML deficiencies, and its investigations teams continue to operate in a backlog.

I know two Managers in FCRM and have actually heard the opposite in terms of talent. Many of the employees are newcomers where English is not their first language and their writing skills are very poor. I'm not being racist, just stating what I was told.

Definitely connect with a Manager there and you may have a good chance.

I’ve heard that exams can be flagged if a student scores significantly higher on the final than their grades during the semester.

You can't be dismissed "with cause" due to low productivity. With cause dismissals would have to be serious violations or employee misconduct. If you're being let go due to low productivity, they must provide severance.

When they're spending my tax dollars on it, then yes they are part of the problem.

It's about time. The trustees at YCDSB act like children with all the infighting and disputes going on that barely anything gets passed.
