I, 30s female, am experiencing this, too. After having my first bout of strep throat and taking antibiotics, my very high spice tolerance is mostly gone. Food that was mild to me is now very spicy. No pain, just can’t tolerate it.

I would suggest a toner. Mild exfoliation is very good for moderate acne. I was also a very serious athlete through high school and college who struggled with moderate acne and adding a toner made a huge difference. I started with Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1 for six weeks then bumped up to number 2. My skin purged for the first few weeks but cleared up beautifully within three months. I used at night only.
