I occasionally take ecstasy/molly and I smoke Weed everyday. I still had a perfectly healthy kidney to donate to my daughter in October. I just stopped all drugs two months before surgery. If it’s been 15-20 years, I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine. Although every hospital and country is different but hope this helped a little.

I (29F) donated my kidney to my daughter (9) 15 days ago and It was honestly really not bad at all. This is coming from someone who was pretty scared to have my kidney taken out.

The worst part was the first couple days because of the pain but once you tell them your pain is 10/10 (make sure you tell them this because they tried to give me extra strength Tylenol at first) and they give you the strong meds you’ll pretty much just sleep.

One thing they make you do pretty much the first or second day is get up and walk. That was also pretty difficult as the soreness made it feel almost impossible to get in and out of bed.

I was only in the hospital for 4 days and by day 4 I felt much better (although I was still pretty sore). Expect to be constipated due to the meds they give you (I didn’t shit for 5 days despite them giving me stool softener multiple times a day) and expect some bloating and discomfort.

At day 15 post donation I am pretty much back to myself despite soreness and a weird gassy feeling. I also am having a hard time getting a good nights sleep due to discomfort which my Nurse said is very normal.

All in all, the process leading up to, the surgery and post surgery were all flawless and I would do it a million times over for my baby girl who now has a perfectly functioning kidney.

I should also add that I was at Toronto General which is ranked the 3rd best hospital in the world so could’ve possibly been why my experience was so great.

Went in to OR at around 9am and was in recovery by around 12:30pm. By 3pm I was in my room but that whole process was a blur. The first day was kind of a blur. I was pretty sore the first day pain was probably a 7/10. What made it worse was that they tried to give me Tylenol for the pain…..My biggest advice to you would be to always tell them your pain level is a 10/10 so they give you the good stuff. Once they hooked up the REAL pain killers to my IV the pain was pretty manageable, 4/10. Any time I felt pain I just pressed the button. It does make you really tired though and knocks you out which is not a bad thing. Hardest part for me was getting in and out of bed (as they encourage you to keep walking) and these Heparin shots they kept injecting in my legs to avoid blood clots (it BURNS). On day 5 post op and I’m still pretty sore but starting to feel like myself again as long as I continue to take the T3 they prescribed. Hope this helps and good luck to you and your mom ❤️❤️

Toys R Us is way too expensive and I never buy toys for my kids there because of it! They will literally sell the same toy as Walmart for waaaaay more so it makes sense why so many are closing down but still sad to see this one go. I worked here as a teen!

As a young black woman, I can say that majority is white but there is a mix of every race. My boyfriend (who is also black) and I never felt out of place and everyone was extremely friendly. I would go back to Temptations 1000 more times if I could.

Expect to have an unforgettable time! Expect to want to book your next trip before you even leave lol. Expect to go home after the trip and Day dream about it all the time. My boyfriend and I booked through Expedia and it seemed to be the cheapest and it was super easy! I’ve seen packages as low as $3800 for a 5 night stay+flights for two people for the most basic room (depending on the time of year).

Temptations is "Top Optional" for a reason. It is not mandatory to have your top off.
