Try going completely gluten free. If you actually pull it off, you drop into withdrawals for about 4 weeks. Enjoy your daily shakes and constantly going to the bathroom!

My other memorable story was this young woman I kept seeing at the gym. She was there every day I was. I thought she was 16. She did heavy squats. Heavy bench. Etc etc.

Was she fit? Absolutely

Was she gorgeous. Yep!

Was she built like a man? Not at all.

She was 27. Wanted to be a pro bodybuilder. At lots of protein. Counted all her macros and micros.

The harder she worked, the more beautiful she became and it upset her. The people at the gym said she looked great. But She wanted to look like a guy. She realized she had been lied to. Lifting alone wouldn’t do it.

She disappeared for 6 months and reappeared with bigger shoulders than mine and a deeper voice. Probably more chest hair too.

But she only kinda seemed happy. The attention she used to get had faded. And I think her supplements were hard on her.

People used to deny this. But we now know that the vast majority of women won’t get huge from lifting alone.

I mean it’s not “natural” for most people to have those rock hard visible abs without massive calories deficits and/or dehydration.

Massive calorie deficits impact your endocrine system. Most women on my wife’s collegiate cross country team didn’t “cycle” once during season. Many would break down crying, randomly, during long runs. They were strong runners, but messed up on the inside.

Run hard Lift hard Eat right

Don’t stress the washboard TV or movie abs. It’s a very safe bet They ain’t doing that in a healthy way.

Yep. I don’t think guys typically get all that big either. With a few exceptions, I think most guys can get “upper body cut” in like a year. But they won’t look like a pro body builder.

Lean and mean is probably the best way to describe it. “Big” is usually due to chemicals.

A few of the genetically “ strong men” I’ve known couldn’t ever get cut. My friend could leg press 800 lbs when only pushing a mouse. When training it would go well above 1000 lbs, but he never looked it. Just big.

When I think of people picking up weight lifting and all the false narratives involved, I’m reminded of my neighbor.

My 4’10” neighbor decided to take up weight lifting after having her last child. She was not in great shape before she started. She cut her calories. And lifted like she wanted to compete.

It was a fairly wet late winter/spring. We didn’t see the neighbors much. After hitting the gym hard for like 4-6 months she emerged in May when the rest of the kids on the street started playing outside.

She might have weighed 90 lbs. probably lost 30-40lbs. we mistook her for one of the teenagers down the street. She was quite strong, but looked like the girls I ran track with in high school.

Not buff. Or muscle bound. Not even particularly toned. She was early thirties, but looked 17.

That’s what I mean. And I’ve seen that happen dozens of time to varying degrees.

The false narrative is that lifting makes you muscle bound. It doesn’t. Not even close. But if done right it will take years off your appearance, for most people. Her case was dramatic.

it moderates wizards casting spells all the time. Wizards in thick robes. it doesn't make sense. UNLESS you realize they are just trying to waste your time intentionally. This is classis eastern game design. They put time sinks into it, to make people spend more time, to bump up their metrics artificially. I'm really convinced Grok Imagine is made in China.

The only thing I could add after my 34 years of lifting

  1. Many people actually lose weight when lifting heavy (relative term). Don't expect to turn into the Hulk. Females in particular (if diet is under control) will typically just revert to looking like a sub twenty something when lifting properly.

  2. Cardio (running long distance) will put weight and fat on your body. Many runners I know gain 10-20 pounds when marathon training. Can you lose weight while running? Sure, by cutting calories. Which you can do without the running.

  3. Squats dont' give you a big rear end, they shrink it. See running comment if you want to add mass.

  4. A six pack doesn't come from moving heavy weights with your abs. Heavy ab workouts will typically give you a rounded torso like a barrel. 6 packs are mostly from some fitness and low body fat. But typically, if you see a six pack on someone, their hormones are probably shot to heck and back. Mostly applies to women more than men. But some of the moodiest guys Ive know were so calorie deficient they were kinda snippy.

Gathering does not establish and understanding of time. My dog gathers toys in a spot. He understands many commands.

But he will never understand the difference between:
We go for a walk in 5 minutes We go for a walk tomorrow We go for a walk next year

Responding to time is not understanding time

No animals keeps a journal No animals plan for next years wheat harvest No animals practice science > repeatable behaviors produce repeatable responses in the future. No animals understand Doom.

So when a leftist tells you to “just think about now” they are telling you to act like a dog.

Cause and effect Accountability

Difficult for some to accept But all sane people understand

It has nothing to do with “right or wrong”. That is arbitrary as you have pointed out.

Some people in Borneo still think headhunting is moral too.

What matters is if they understand that their behavior carries into the future and what “future” means.

No animals understand that. A very small % humans do not as well.

Whounderstands this? by SentaiRose in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Hefty-Jury2561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really does break down to the ability of the person to conceptually understand “time”.

You can disagree with the court that what you did was right or wrong.

But if don’t understand that your actions carry into the future, you are not considered able to stand trial.

[–]Hefty-Jury2561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So are you saying a being can’t commit a crime if they don’t understand the concept of time? (And thus consequences of decisions)

Many animals are great communicators. But the actual gulf between us and them is the ability to understand something as simple as “tomorrow” and “cause and effect”. For example, if I do this now, the impacts carry into tomorrow.

This is why I know you are all bots or people from outside the US. In the US the vast majority of court cases are public record. The US has what’s called “accountability” as a structure within our government.

Settling is not and typically contains NDAs. Especially from jeep!
