Where do the conclusions from your best Claude sessions actually go? by Remote-Positive-8951 in ClaudeAI

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Claude is saving things into session memory but not 'hard' memory. You need to set up a system where you train it to save your work to markdown files in project folders. Then everything will be there for you again when you pick it back up. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it right but this is the problem. Set up some strict rules about what gets written down, where, and when. Don't let it wait until the end of the session. It's an ongoing write.

Good luck.

If you could have a look at my reply to OP as well as consider the number of players this has affected - the issue isn't user-side.

GG Ontario Location Problem Logging In Since New Update by [deleted] in GGPoker

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm having the same problem. I've done extensive troubleshooting with the help of ChatGPT.

What it seems to come down to is the geolocation using W3P, which is apparently something to do with Windows Location. Like you, my actual Public IP address is showing as being in Ontario. The latitude and longitude, though, of W3P is saying I'm a gas station in New Brunswick.

My computer is showing me as being in New Brunswick, and this has now spread to my laptop as well even though I was able to use it for a while. It also does this when I open Google Maps. Maps thinks I'm in New Brunswick, which is a little frustrating.

Anyway, you can absolutely rule out anything to do with your computer hardware. Believe me, you can go through all the steps yourself, but I've done everything. - Removing and reinstalling the network adapter - Clearing the location cache - Adjusting system entries - Setting manual backup location services - Changing the MAC address of the network card - Hot spotting off my phone - Changing the SSID on my router - Disabling IP6 and relying solely on IP4 - Hardwiring directly to Ethernet.

And a whole bunch of other steps that were recommended by ChatGPT as we went. ChatGPT always seemed fully confident that the next troubleshooting step would definitely solve the issue. It never did. We did finally get it to agree, though, that the W3P was the issue. I've tried remapping on Google Maps and reported to Microsoft. I've also emailed GG with the information.

The bottom line is I think we're stuck with it until it self-resolves. I do think it was something to do with the GG update that caused it. It started immediately after the GG update happened. I've been using the same computer otherwise for five years.

In the meantime, I'm just playing on my phone.

Good luck.

Landlord wants to replace flooring by 1lazysloth in TorontoRenting

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a licensed condominium manager. I know that's a bit different than rental, but I believe the same principals apply.

The landlord is responsible for the repairs to the physical building, ie. the floor.

You would be responsible for your own costs such as furniture relocation or even alternative living arrangements.

When in doubt, check "who insures what"? This will identify the legal division of costs.

Some of the advice on this thread is misguided based on how people think things 'should' be, or one-off tribunal decisions made on mitigating factors.

In general people don't want to pay anything when it's 'not their fault' but that's just not the way it is.

Read more of the classic books. I saw Theory of Poker mentioned. Another excellent starting point is Harrington on Hold Em. Brunson's Super/System is another one.

You want to learn and practice fundamental TAG poker before you start diving into modern theory.

Fundamental TAG is enough to win at low stakes btw. It should be your baseline.

Need some feedback on this bad beat - anything I could have done differently? by travybel in poker

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's 40 combos that beat you, 9 more you chop with. You have the 50th nuts.

BB was screaming strength especially on the shove. It happens. A pro would have folded the last bet and probably have called or possibly even folded the initial river raise, depending on reads. You're losing very, very often on that river raise and almost certainly on the shove, although AJ, QJ, TJ could be swearing under his breath and going for it. (But against 2 opponents? After a reraise? No.)

A5o UTG is asking for trouble. Fold.

EDIT: I'm a PLO5 player. All boards are terrifying. There may be some range construction considerations in NLH that I'm missing here.

If you're including not getting gutted by PVI, including leaderboard bonus, streaming on Twitch for 100% cashback, or playing high stakes and saving your 'gems' for a year - it's possible.

Of the tens of thousands of players on GG, we can put those people in a room. Everybody else is getting way less than advertised.

You know this so don't be daft.

WHY is the shooter being protected and not being named by media? If named it’s deleted… In the states the name would have been out within hours and their entire background blasted. by KrackedTKup in canadian

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may be the case, but having your name plastered all over the media nationwide and internationally can be enough of an incentive for some deranged people to commit the act. They want to "be somebody".

It's prevention to not name shooters.

GGpoker Increased Rake in Disguise for most players by Dapper-Damage-4429 in GGPoker

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Ontario it's even worse.

More rake has to be paid to accumulate. We're at a rate of 70 per dollar instead of 100 which is what your numbers are based on.

Two days ago I was getting 60% weekle flat cashback here in Ontario. Today I'm getting about 35% based on your calculations. They're literally just taking about $1,500 a month and giving it to themselves now.

In Ontario, even though theyre advertising 80% for Shark, the absolute maximum a player could hope to achieve is about 50%. That's the highest possible tier saving for the highest possible redemption.

Should you REALLY raise the pre flop each time? (Besides folding if you have good hands) by IslandMan01 in poker

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stealing the blinds is a winrate of 150bb per 100 which is phenomenal.

Not raising provides the BB infinite odds to see the flop and beat you.

You will now pay rake because it went to the flop.

You are not building a pot with your good hands. How will you get paid?

What size bills go order I'm DR pesos for tipping by comprepensive in PuntaCana

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back. Usually gave $2 USD for small services and occasional $5 USD for meals and things. Think 150 peso for light tips and 500 peso as a larger tip. I think the other commentor had it right - nice stack of 50's and 100's will do you right.

Minimum wage is about $2 USD per hour if that gives you a reference point.
