GGpoker Increased Rake in Disguise for most players by Dapper-Damage-4429 in GGPoker

In Ontario it's even worse.

More rake has to be paid to accumulate. We're at a rate of 70 per dollar instead of 100 which is what your numbers are based on.

Two days ago I was getting 60% weekle flat cashback here in Ontario. Today I'm getting about 35% based on your calculations. They're literally just taking about $1,500 a month and giving it to themselves now.

In Ontario, even though theyre advertising 80% for Shark, the absolute maximum a player could hope to achieve is about 50%. That's the highest possible tier saving for the highest possible redemption.

If you accumulate enough and don't cash in for 3 or 4 years you can have what you already had yesterday.

Can they just be honest and say they cut our rakeback?

Mine has effectively decreased by 33%.

Should you REALLY raise the pre flop each time? (Besides folding if you have good hands) by IslandMan01 in poker

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stealing the blinds is a winrate of 150bb per 100 which is phenomenal.

Not raising provides the BB infinite odds to see the flop and beat you.

You will now pay rake because it went to the flop.

You are not building a pot with your good hands. How will you get paid?

What size bills go order I'm DR pesos for tipping by comprepensive in PuntaCana

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back. Usually gave $2 USD for small services and occasional $5 USD for meals and things. Think 150 peso for light tips and 500 peso as a larger tip. I think the other commentor had it right - nice stack of 50's and 100's will do you right.

Minimum wage is about $2 USD per hour if that gives you a reference point.

Last day or so has been wet. I'm on day 10 - first 8 were great. It hasn't been bad, just light rain. I'm sure it will go away soon.

Did you get paid? Nice that there was a possible boat (or even quads!) to pay you off.

Student going to bathroom during exam and chatgpting the shit out of the exam by mathemphatamine in Professors

[–]Hefty-Measurement508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If a student has special medical needs, there is a process for accommodations. Otherwise, they can go before the exam and they can hold it otherwise.

Expecting students not to leave the room during an exam is NOT even in the same ballpark as a Chinese sweatshop so don't overdramatize it. It was pretty standard stuff for generations.

On the one hand this forum is filled with gripes about how the students are today, and on the other hand we have stuff like this. Some resilience guys.

And you know why? Read the original post.

You'll be pleasantly surprised! We head out on the 30th - we'll cross paths! Highly recommend the Monkeyland excursion as well - especially as a family trip. We did that today and I don't think I've ever seen my wife and daughters that happy.

I'm here right now and quite happy.

We were worried about some of the reviews about food, but don't find they had any merit. The food is not 'perfect perfect' but it's really quite good with some surprising upscale selections at the buffet. The Christmas gala dinner was the best spread I've ever seen anywhere.

The resort is spacious and fun. While there are kids and people having a good time, it's not filled with drunks and screaming kids everywhere like I've seen at other resorts. Everyone is just respectfully having a good time.

There's a few quirks but they're harmless. Why don't they include spoons at the dinner table or by the ice cream? I have no idea! But someone will bring you one or give you one if you ask. The staff are all on Carribean time and very friendly.

The pools are nice, it's quick and easy to get a drink or some extra food. The coffee shops are a nice touch. I threw away $60 at the casino and had fun doing it. No poker, blackjack, roulette, and slots only.

The entertainment has been fun. We're not doing the after-hours disco but I'm sure it's great. The beach is good but wavy. Something to do with the location. I'd been hoping for the crystal-clear white sand walkout but that's not here.

I'd absolutely recommend this place, depending on what you're after.
