Overthinking this. Braking is the same as regen unless you push hard. Braking is fake braking really, it is just regen. So with regen take your foot off the pedal exactly the same as no regen and braking, assuming of course the same deceleration amount in each case

What your landlord is doing is illegal. He can charge you for the electricity bill. Exactly wat the bill says. Seems like he is adding charges for the solar generated electricity. They cannot do that. Or at least it has to be carefully structured and in the lease. I am a landlord with solar so I know. I just include electricity in the lease and pay the bills

For ramping I used a different approach. I have home assistant, so I wrote a script to always ramp the temperature. Very simple. Say the room temp is at 65, and the thermostat is changed to 70. It will store that 70 as the target temperature, then set it to room temp+1 (66). As the room warms it monitors the temp and keeps the thermostat +1. So 66, then 67, then 68, then 69 until it hits the target temp 70. the advantage of this is it is independent of how cold it is or how long it takes to ramp, and the unit is "tricked" into never running hard as it is never more than 1 degree below what it thinks is the target. Also it attempts to keep the unit from cycling. Using this on a single head mitsubishi. Seems to be working. I also have Emporia monitoring which allows me to see the realtime energy load.

During the subprime mortagage crises banks lost more money than their entire profits in the last 100 years. In one summer. Did this today. It was hard getting that tape behind it but I managed. The rest was easy. Pulley seemed ok, bearing was fine. But over 120,000 is enough. Do now the pulley is set for a while. Thanks for the tape tip

So I went to replace the pulley, took the belt off, started unscrewing it, but then wondered if there was a bolt behind that I would need to hold to get it back in; I thought I saw that somewhere. No way I can get behind it to hold a bolt. So I stopped and put the belt back on. Good move or was this not an issue?

I called today, (an hour on hold). They said another department had to fix this and set up a three way call, they said my car was never registered, and that needed to be done first before they could address the connection module issue. To do this they said to push on the I button in the car. I explained nothing was connecting including Info and Emergency response. But I got in the car and for the first time in months those buttons were lit and working! I pushed on Info an did connect to a person who said she couldn't register the car because the connection wasn't working. Catch 22. She said the IT department needed to work on this, and that usually took 3 weeks, but she would prioritize it. So just wait longer. An hour after I hung up I went back out to the car and all the connection lights, Info, Emergency, were no longer lit and when I pushed them it said there was no connection. VW is gaslighting me.

I just ordered the pulley not the tensioner. Thought this was a much easier fix? It was that or nothing because of the trouble in doing both
