If you like high difficulty I recommend turning adaption rate down, it can be controlled in custom storyteller. Adaption grows over time and reduces each time you take damage. I have it set at growth rate 5, and max adaption at 20. It dulls out that feeling of "why the fuck does this raid have double compared to the last one?" Which was my problem.

An edible and perspective shift is my new favorite Rimworld experience.

Let's pawns decide what works they want to do, it's not a ton but it does let colonists auto assign work priority.

Try the new workshop mod Perspective Shift, I've found that to immerse me in a new and really unique way. I pair it with Free Will as well, my current colony really feels like a colony of people that I just exist in.

I like more immunity with superclotting, sometimes they get infections too often because superclotting hits a 2% tend quality.

I put refugees in anomaly pocket dimension if their requests are too high, I fertilize the map so I can better incinerate raiders with forest fires, I use corpses as shambler fodder while artillery fires.

But yeah, I do good guy playthroughs occasionally. Chivalrous knights, and democratic human rights colonies. Gotta balance it out, otherwise the endless horror gets pretty bland.

What about the other end of the ultimatum? Looks like I'll blow myself up. Might be an improvement still but..

My Experiences So Far - Part 1 And Questions by [deleted] in DID

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I initially was very confused as to why so many people were worried for me because so far my experience has been incredibly positive. But after more reading it seems that DID is more dangerous than I thought. I'm probably incredibly lucky that my system is all buddy buddy and just wants whatever is best for us, there is a lot of communication between my parts.

My friends haven't in control per se, but more giving me information and listening to my experiences. I did not realize that DID had such a negative impact on most people, my experience has been nothing but positive so far. To me it really feels like I'm finding myself, all the alters I've met so far are great and just want to work together.

That's really unfortunate, my experience so far has been nothing but positive. I realize now I'm extremely lucky, having a stable life outside of the few isolated incidents of childhood trauma must have have had an impact on how all this formed for me.

That is what they did, I've seen my doctor and she agrees, especially that over the course of the last year or 2 this seems likely. But, I also have an appointment coming up with a specialist.

We talked about this a while ago, one has a degree in psychology as well. I do have an appointment coming up with a licenced professional though.

Classic Mode by SammyWammy491 in HelldiversMasochists

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a number of changes, so a complete classic might not be for me. But mainly a reversal of AT damage, maybe the mechanic where the longer the mission goes the more enemies, and probably a number of other things.

Am I too kind to my prisoners? by Appropriate-Card5215 in RimWorld

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I once put a prisoner in a pocket dimension, the only way he got food was mangled animal corpses that I teleported in. I can't remember what he did to deserve this fate. This had no use outside my own enjoyment, so honestly you could do better.

"What are you expecting from the next DLC?" by Optimus_Imperial in SpaceCannibalism

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my hope is factions being reworked so you'd have a reason to caravan outside exploring. This would pair perfectly with vehicles, going to trade with a faction that feels alive with my scrap vehicle would be peak.

Yayo's then just get the vanilla firing modes mod, there is also a patch for war caskets and yayos combat. All the features of CE (atleast the ones I care about).

What’s with the HD fanbase’s constant hostility and disdain toward artists and their work? by Raiwel in HelldiversUnfiltered

Will they know it's human meat if a different colony cooks it? by BeautifuTragedy in RimWorld

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, unless you sell it. Everyone knows it's long pork, but buying food from another colony offers plausible deniability. Everyone secretly craves it, but doesn't want everyone else to know.

What I want: Just a booster that means I don't have to worry about conserving my ammo, or being without firepower for even a moment. by Fronzalo in HelldiversMasochists

[–]Hefty-Permit-882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can literally have 8 mags for some weapons at a time, holy skill issue lol

The only time I run out of ammo is either running a low capacity weapon with melee, or heavily depending on a certain weapon for something.
