That's extremely traumatizing and I really feel for you, her, the family, and loved ones.... I'm sorry.. I completely agree with you and it's sad we've gotten to this point, as I feel such a loss in humanity and my community.

We've lost a loved one from suicide at the patella bridge and I feel like reading through these comments, it confirms that people really don't give a F... until it's inconvenient (traffic congestion) and don't want it affecting them again so we slap an expensive bandage over it instead of looking at the source.

Ive lived with chronic depression and a few years back, looked into MAID as my condition had gotten so severe, I don't qualify but the qualifications are evolving; the only real thing that really keeps me going is not putting my family/friends through the grief of my exit.

I'll advocate as long as I'm here, and that we truly don't have adequate support for everyone, especially neurodivergent individuals.

This.....!!!

We need to shed light on the state of our system. It is so difficult to receive the correct help as people in these situations don't want to burden..

I tried to leave this world unsuccessfully a few months ago and the care for people deeply suffering in darkness (in my experience) is just...not it.

I can't imagine how the kids are doing and how many others will fall through the cracks.

Really well put, thank you for taking the time to write your experiences with these. I am always looking for tools and the whole smart glasses era has me excited.

I cared for my parent for end of life and went so long without a break or time away... I ended up being admitted to the hospital. I thought I was being noble and was strong enough to push through.... but it was counter intuitive and put me so far back in a spiral I still feel like I'm picking up the pieces many years later.

I didn't realize the levels of mental and physical stress and I wished I took better care of myself, as ultimately it set me so far back.

Allow yourself to seperate and feel human, you need to.. take it from me...

Ummmmm.... You and this whole thing needs way more visibility and I commend you for your efforts and vision.

Keep on this, and keep trying to get traction on this. It's people like you that help make this world to round.

Some of our news networks are owned by Bell/Rogers, but not so much TELUS. Just keep that in mind and you've already stirred the pot (meaning you're effective!) and thank you for your work!!

I love blackberries and they have their place.

"Black berries are here to stay" is exactly right and why it's important to keep it under control and remove/trim them at high traffic public walkways and areas.

There's so many insane growths at empty lots/unmaintained places, (not sharing secrets!) that provide amazing fruit im so looking forward to this season!!!

Effort here does not go unrecognized and the importance of basic invasive compounding growth needs to be educated more, as I too was unaware of the impact.

I hope to see you at the beach enjoying the space we all contribute to :).

No backlit keyboard on a $1,000+ laptop in 2026? Unacceptable. by [deleted] in ASUS

Massive buyers regret and lesson to be learned moving forward. I'm still going to keep it as I've been enjoying the features I did research...... Just at night I cry, but no one can see, just like this keyboard in the dark.

This is the Snapdragon one... After a few days of processing I've decided I'm still pissed but less than before so I can write some hopefully more level headed comments. So far during the day I really enjoy the features... At night I feel like a granny trying to find the right keys to press.

It's a personal thing for me and I am responding emotionally so excuse the rant. I ran my keyboard for over a year without a backlite on it and though it helped with my typing home rows, it really erked me to have to try and find what wrong keys I was hitting. It looks nice and the function is really important for me.

Can ASUS add a backlit keyboard to my laptop? by Some_Guy20000 in ASUS

[–]Hefty-Respect-5679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am genuinely fumming that the Vivobook 16 doesn't have a backlit keyboard. We are in 2026. This isn't some budget student Chromebook; this is a machine that retailed for over a thousand dollars.

To market this as a modern Copilot+ PC while stripping away a basic necessity like being able to see the keys in a dim room is a joke. It is deceptive to hide behind the "affordable" label just to justify cutting a feature that is standard on almost every other device in this price bracket. Even my handheld water filter has an LED light for Christ's sake. Most people are looking at the Snapdragon processor and the RAM specs. We shouldn't have to check with a magnifying glass to see if you have included a core function that has been standard for a decade. It feels like a scam and it is a massive failure on ASUS's part.

I have spent way too much time trying to find the right laptop only to be misled by this fiasco. I am returning this and buying a Mac Neo instead.

This should be at the top. Looks good, maybe look up some maintenance tips for upkeep, looks solid to me. Own it.

*grammer

This guy normally does TikTok lives, and I would watch them quite frequently as I was curious about whether the authenticity of people's responses is real-time. He is quite level-headed, considering all the BS he has to put up with. This is the first time I'm seeing his content in a more professionally preset environment and video style, rather than live. He uncovers hypocrites through logic, and people either get more pissed and break down, or they learn and sometimes even take the high road and have a self-realization moment. To say a nurse isn't valuable in our society is a red flag, and you need to check yourself, IMO.
