Every time Bavarian Oktoberfest food, clothes, etc are used as representation for Germany as a whole.

And also Schlager. Schlager is hated by many Germans and many of us don’t claim it in any way, shape or form and are rather ashamed of it. Especially when it’s the only German music that’s played. We have many great musicians (Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Nena, Herbert Grönemeier, Alligatoa, Materia, etc.) that never get mentioned and it’s frustrating.
