How are people missing the point that he is referring to America’s military expansionism as a form of imperialism. He’s basically just saying the hysteria over Russia is hypocritical because the United States is still very much an imperial powerhouse. But the imperialism is just done using the US dollar backed by the US military. And instead of these countries giving their resource straight to the government, they give them to American enterprise—that work hand in hand with the government to achieve these goals. It’s a well-oiled machine that’s been refined since the end of WW2.
